This Mid-Autumn Festival, many people are feeling the pressure and challenges brought by the economy. However, what matters is that this year, we can still reunite with our families. Being together, sharing a festive meal, and enjoying mooncakes is our greatest happiness.

Tonight, the bright moon shines on each of us, allowing us to momentarily set aside our worries and enjoy this warm moment. I hope everyone can feel the care and support of their family during this Mid-Autumn Festival, and that life gradually improves.

I took my dog for a morning walk and happened to run into my FB friend, although we're not very close. He had his camera with him, snapping photos, and I wasn't sure what he was taking pictures of... Maybe those beautiful ladies jogging? 😂
He was really polite and asked me nicely if he could take a few shots with my dog. I said sure. We spent about 5 minutes taking pictures on that big rock. With one of our friend beside helping. Chloe Chng
When I woke up today and checked my phone, I received so many beautiful photos. I'm really grateful. It's just awesome. ❤️

我带着我的狗去晨间散步，刚好碰到了一个Facebook上的朋友，其实我们并不是很熟。他拿着相机在那拍照，我不太清楚他在拍什么，也许是那些在慢跑的美女们吧😂😂😂？
他当时非常有礼貌，很客气地问我，可不可以和我的狗拍几张照片。我就说好呀。我们的其中一位朋友也一起帮忙。就在那块大石头上拍了大概5分钟。今天一睡醒，一看手机，就收到了那么多漂亮的照片。真的非常感谢🙏。太棒了。❤️

Lately, the weather has been too hot. They can only come out and play after around 7:30pm when the sun sets. Tomorrow morning only I'll bring them back to the room to enjoy the aircond. Let's hope they behave and don't cause any trouble. 😂😅

MKA All Breed Sweepstakes
Date: 22nd Oct 2023(Sunday)
Venue: Ardence Labs, Eco Ardence (in conjunction with Paw Wow HOWL-O-WEEN Gathering
Judge: Kenneth Chuah (MKA International All Breed Judge)
Time: 10am to 1.30pm

An "All Breed Sweepstakes" dog show is a competition exclusively for MKA members and MKA Registered pedigree dogs of various breeds, which are evaluated according to their individual breed standards but all competing in the same age classes. There are six distinct classes in this event:

(1)Minor Puppy (Above 3 and below 6 months old)
(2)Puppy (Above 6months to 10 months old)
(3)Junior (Above 10 months to 15 months old)
(4)Intermediate (Above 15 months to 24 months old)
(5)Malaysian Bred (Any dog born in Malaysia above 6 months of age)
(6)Veteran (8 Years old and above)

Each class corresponds to a specific age group, as indicated above. Participants are allowed to enter only one class per dog. There is no Adult Champion class, but Adult Champion dogs have the option to enter their relevant age class, i.e. Intermediate, Malaysian Bred or Veteran.

The fee is Rm 20 per entry

The winners from each of these classes will subsequently compete for the coveted title of "Best in Sweepstakes." It's important to note that all dogs and owners entered in the Sweepstakes must registered with the Malaysian Kennel Association (MKA).

We had a great weekend at the International All Breed dog show organised by MKA. It was super exciting to see some really cool dogs that came from other places. We felt really pumped up as we joined in the competition with our dogs next to these awesome imported ones.

We are proud and fortunate to secure some placements.

"Covid", a sweet girl born in 2020.
She achieved impressive results, including:
2x Best of Breed
1x Reserve Best of Breed
1x CACIB
1x Reserve CACIB
1x South East Asia Cac
1x Fci A20 Cac
1x 2nd Best In Group
1x 3rd Best In Group

"Britney" my lovely girl also had a successful run with:
2x Best Of Breed
1x Reserve Best of Breed
2x CACIB
1x Reserve CAC
Curft Qualifier
2x 2nd Best In Group

"Juliet" daughter of Britney.
Competing in the puppy category, achieved:
1x 2nd Best female
3x Best puppy
3x Best puppy in Group
3 Junior CC
3 Junior RCC.

"Bullet" our Norwich Terrier.
Participated in only two shows and impressively achieved 4th place for Best Baby in Show, even against tough competition.

Throwback to yesterday's Malaysia Kennel Association (MKA) Fun Match Show. This delightful event was aimed at introducing dog enthusiasts to the world of dog showing in a relaxed environment. It wasn't about champion dogs or professional handlers. It was more of a casual gathering. The purpose was to give people a better idea of what happens in our championship shows. Best of all, registration was completely Free Of Charge.

We had the privilege of having amazing volunteers who provided their assistance. They guided people on how things work in the show ring and how to handle dogs. Others helped with organizing and coordinating the event. As for me, instead of participating as an exhibitor, I took on the role of the photographer. Please keep in mind that I'm not a professional photographer 😂 so I apologize if there are any shortcomings in the pictures. Being a photographer, it turned out to be quite tiring, as capturing those perfect shots involved constantly standing up and crouching down throughout the day. But the effort was all worth it... ❤️

Now that the show is over, I have the enjoyable yet challenging task of meticulously going through all the photos and selecting the best ones. There's also the editing process to enhance the colors and make them truly shine.

Exhibitors, if you come across your own photo, feel free to save it and treasure the memories. Share the joy with your friends if you spot them in the picture.

Throwback to last Sunday.
Our hearts are filled with gratitude towards MKA, who organized a breathtaking event that brought together passionate dog enthusiasts from all walks of life. We are also immensely thankful to the judges who took their time to assess and appreciate the hard work and dedication of all the participants.

It's been a while since we've participated in a dog show, but today marked our triumphant return to the competition. Despite feeling exhausted, it was an exhilarating experience filled with fun and excitement.

While we didn't come out on top with any major wins, we are satisfied with our performance. We believe that with continued hard work, practice, and dedication, we can excel and achieve greater success.

Britney, one of our seasoned dogs, managed to secure back to back Best of Breed titles, a testament to her exceptional skills and training.

Meanwhile, our adorable pup, Romeo, also impressed the judges with his poise and potential, back to back earning Reserved Best of Breed, as well as Best Puppy in Group and Best Puppy in Show.

Last but certainly not least, our little Juliet at just 4 months old, stole the show with her undeniable cuteness and charm, earning back to back Best Baby in Show under the guidance of my son Carlson.

We are excited to continue our journey in the dog show world and can't wait to see what the future holds for our furry companions.

We must not forget to give a special shoutout to our generous sponsor, Chunkbit, who has graciously provided top-quality dog food for our lucky winners. Thanks to Chunkbit's dedication to pet nutrition, our furry friends will be treated to a tasty and healthy meal that will keep them happy and energized. What is an MKA Match Show?

What is a MKA Match Show?

A Match Show is a relaxed, fun and easy going dog show. It is an opportunity for new dog show enthusiasts owning a pedigree dog
to have an opportunity to experience dog showing in a more relaxed and
fun setting, whilst giving them an idea of what a dog show is like and
what it entails.

This show is for novice dogs, owners and handlers who have never participated at a dog show.

A fun match show is thus done in a knock-out style contest. How does that work?

Each participant is assigned an entry number randomly. The numbers are then
drawn randomly two at a time and each of the two drawn numbers, compete
against the other. The judge will examine each dog, move them to see
their movement and condition individually and then pick a winner for
that first round.

All the winners of Round 1 then go through to
Round 2, to compete against other Round 1 winners, again two at a time.
Once again, the winners of Round 2 go through to compete in Round 3.

So with each round the number of dogs gets less and eventually the last remaining two dogs will compete for the top prize of BEST IN SHOW & RESERVE BEST IN SHOW.

This is what things happened...

Don't get a puppy at too young age.
And when is the right time???

When you're at a young age, the sight of a cute and adorable puppy can be enough to make your heart skip a beat. You might see them wagging their tails, barking, or just looking up at you with those big, innocent eyes and it's enough to make you want one for yourself.

So, you beg your parents to get you a puppy, and after much pleading and promising to take good care of it, they finally give in. You eagerly search the local classifieds or pet stores for the perfect puppy, not really knowing what to look for except for cuteness.

You finally find one that you think is perfect - a small and fluffy ball of fur that wags its tail and licks your hand. You take it home and immediately fall in love with it. You spend hours playing with it, feeding it, and watching it explore its new home.

As you get to know your new furry friend, you start to notice its unique characteristics. You might notice that its ears are a little different than you expected, or that its coat is a different color than you were hoping for. But none of that matters, because you love your puppy regardless.

As your puppy grows, you start to realize that it might not be a purebred dog, or it might not be as beautiful as you thought it would be. But it doesn't matter, because it's still your loyal companion and best friend.

As you look back on those early days with your puppy, you realize that it wasn't the breed or the beauty that made you love it so much - it was the unconditional love and companionship that it provided. And that's something that's truly.
