DUKE HAS FOUND HIS INCREDIBLY WONDERFUL, FOREVER FAMILY!

It has been a day of phenomenal joy as this very special dog has been adopted by absolutely the best family he could ever wish for!

We hope this oversized, bundle of puppy love gives his new parents as much affection and happiness as he has given each one of us at SPCA Henties Bay during his journey with us.

So many fantastic people have been part of preparing Duke for a life outside the shelter, which truly became evident when his family came to collect him.

There were literally tears of joy all round as those that walk with him, feed him, love and care for him every day, gave him hugs and wished him well for his new and shining future ahead!

KITTEN SEASON HAS HIT US WITH A BANG!

SPCA Henties Bay already has 10 kittens in need of forever homes and, loving families that are aware of the life time commitment that needs to be given to them.

These 3 beautiful souls were rescued by Feed a Paw, Heidi Steenkamp Grobler, from a dumpster when she was feeding and caring for less fortunate animals. Thank you so much to Eliza and her wonderful family, for fostering these 3!

They are missing their mommy terribly, they have never had human contact until now and their lives have been literally turned upside down... They would rather remain wild, feral cats, breeding and suffering from lack of food!

But we disagree with them and we are working very hard at caring for them, giving them love and affection and ensuring they are well fed, de-flead, dewormed and healthy!

Please support our decision for these kittens and make a lifetime commitment... Please consider adopting!

We would also be hugely grateful for any kitten food, as we have managed to deplete our existing resources already.
Any support would be greatly welcomed!

Adopt a kitten today!

"BEERTJIE", a gorgeous, well known & much loved Henties Bay "street" dog has been sterilized and vaccinated, thanks to the amazing Ladies of The 3R Bookshop and phenomenal efforts of Have a Heart Namibia - Spay and Neuter Project, Sheelagh & Dr Winterbach.

Like so many Henties Bay dogs, "Beertjie" has a home and a loving family, but no closed yard to keep him inside.

We dream that one day, all dogs in Henties Bay will remain safe in closed yards, as the law stipulates, but for now, the best that can be done for them is for us to sterilize and vaccinate them, so they do not add to the feral dog population (those born on the streets that have no home, no food, no one to care for them and no human contact).

The effort it takes to sterilize and vaccinate these "street" dogs is MASSIVE, takes huge amounts of time, effort and patience and is a major priority.

The 3R Bookshop Henties Bay Ladies are a shining example to our community, they befriend so many dogs like Beertjie, teach them to walk with a collar and a lead on and even take them for drives in the car, to get them used to travelling! They communicate with their owners and when everything is perfect, they bring the dogs in when the vet visits monthly.

If you are able to join this fantastic initiative, of helping us get "street" dogs sterilized and vaccinated, by bringing them in for vet day, you will really help make a difference to the unwanted, uncared for feral dog population of our special, coastal town!
