Bernie is such a sweet boy. He loves salad and cuddles.

His parents and older siblings were destined for the pot. Luckily I could rescue them in time (I bought them on a street market). Life is so much better at Bubu's Animal Haven !

Daddy was snipped right away. Mommy was already pregnant and had 7 babies, one girl and 6 boys. We keep the boys separate until we have enough funds to have them castrated. No more babies!

Bunnies are very sweet pets and deserve a full life with good care, fresh veggies, rabbit pellets, lots of love, and cuddles ❤️🐰

The other day I was contacted by Danniel Kruger from Swakopmund.

They have the stunning initiative, to make and sell hand made key chains.
All funds will go to animal shelters and organizations in need.

The key chains are made from Resin, with a paw print in the heart ❤️, and cost only
N$ 100.

Bubu's Animal Haven is an animal sanctuary where mostly older, rescued, and homeless animals retire, have a peaceful life, and are well cared for.

I do not normally rehome animals. The other day, however, I took over 7 puppies to rescue them from euthenasia. 3 puppies got rehomed, but these 4 Staffie x puppies urgently need homes as well. Neither me nor their foster mom have the facilities to keep that many dogs. They are over 2 months old already.

It starts to become a crisis. The place to keep them; they get bigger; they eat more and cost a lot of money. Currently, Otjiwarongo SPCA helps me with a kennel to keep them temporarily. Thank you, Otjiwarongo SPCA🙏

Their adoption fee is only N$ 850 (if handled through Bubu's) including the sterilization and two vaccinations (value about N$ 3000). You safe a lot!!!

Thank you, Snout Project Namibia , for advertising and handling the adoption, should it be outside the Otjiwarongo area. Yes, the puppies are willing to travel to wherever you are!

Please, please, open your hearts and adopt them🙏🙏! We can rescue them, but we need help from the public to give them loving homes. We cannot keep every animal we rescue; we need YOUR help as well. Otherwise we have to stop rescuing, and that we don't want to do.

Shiloh and the other dogs would appreciate some support.

They will have a price increase in October; therefore, we want to get enough supply of dog and cat food before the increase.

Little Stacey❤️
Stacey is doing well, under circumstances.
Unfortunately, she has a very severe form of cerebellar hypoplasia, which leaves her very disabled.
Her growth center in the brain is not developed; therefore, she will never grow and only weighs 700–800 g.
She eats well, with assistance, and needs help with most activities. She cannot walk and is limited to her area if I do not carry her around.
I am planning to get a little wheelchair for her. Maybe it will help to exercise her muscles a bit.
Stacey is purring a lot. She starts purring the moment she sees me entering the room.
In her special world, I am sure she experiences her own happiness❤️.

Another HUGE thank you to Mrs. Dorothea Tietz, who is an unstoppable animal pillow-making machine at her remarkable age of 92 years!!! Thank you Anuschka Hurter for organizing everything, and for making this possible.

Bubu's Animal Haven received another 4 bags full of beautiful pillows! We immediately used them in the cat caravan, where there were only a few pillows. Yellow did inspection and is very impressed with the colorful pillows!

For those of you who don't know Yellow, he is the cat of Christine, who is our cat caravan manager. She rescued Yellow in the north when she was on holiday and brought him back to the farm. He is staying with Christine and helps her to look after the cats that stay in the caravan.

Bubu's Animal Haven is an animal sanctuary and has a big variety of needy animals in its care, of which cats, rabbits, dogs, and birds are the most common species to lose their homes.

We need continuous support from the public to be able to properly feed them and to afford their medical needs.

Look at Toffee, Queen of my heart!!! 😻

The first photo was taken at the end of March when she was rescued by Oshana SPCA, weighing only 1 kg. Second photo was taken today, 5 months later, weighing almost 4 kg!

Toffee is a very affectionate, loving cat, a real beautiful girl. She has the most stunning personality; I adore her!

I will never forget that Dr. Theuns said she is a very cool cat.

She is extremely cool, indeed!😻❤️

In die Kamanjab-omgewing in die noordweste van die land is ‘n paradys vir diere geleë. Diere van alle soorte het hier ‘n permanente tuiste en vrede gevind.

Ruacana Rescue Girl, Laika, is safely at her new home in Swakopmund!

Look how happy she is with her new friends, family, and house. She puts weight on her leg and is progressing very well.

Thank you to all the people involved who contributed to her new happy life. Mias von Wielligh, Sonja Gilge, Rhino Park Vet Clinic, her lift to Windhoek, and Pet Voyage for bringing her to Swakopmund.

She is one lucky girl.

Our page was hacked and destroyed on Sunday. I could not find a way to recover it, which saddens me a lot.
As it is of utmost importance for the animals continued care and to keep caring followers updated on our beloved residents well-being and progress, I had no choice but to create a new page.
