Week two of Dog Adventure Classes at the Doggie Lodge with Barbara Paterson - Namib Dog Training. It was awesome to see the dogs looking at their owners and really connecting. The ARK rescue have over 50 happy and healthy dogs looking for homes.

Imagine this: A sunny afternoon in Namibia, the scent of boerewors sizzling on the grill, and your new best friend by your side, wagging their tail in excitement!

Add that extra bit of joy to your braai. Tag a friend who could use a fun-loving pup.

We have exciting news!

Barbara Paterson - Namib Dog Training in Walvis Bay is coming to the Doggie Lodge! We just love her "it's a choice method" and creating a bond with your dog. Give the below information a read and see if this may be something for you and your dog(s), or someone you may know to take part in. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Barbara directly at +264 81 800 8264 or me (Kim) at +264 81 292 4238.. Our start date is expected to be in a couple of weeks once we have heard from everyone.

Join Our Doggy Adventure Classes!

Looking for a fun and enriching activity for your dog? Our Doggy Adventure Classes are designed to teach functional obedience skills like settle, recall, and loose lead walking, while also building a foundation for dog sports like agility and flyball. Whether you’re starting from scratch or refining existing skills, our classes provide the perfect mix of training, play, and bonding time with your dog. Classes are suitable for all dogs. Puppies need to be fully vaccinated.

Sessions are held on Wednesdays at 4 PM in Walvis Bay (Atlantis Sports Club) and Fridays at 4 PM in Swakopmund (The Doggie Lodge). The 6-week course costs N1200, payable upon booking. After your initial course, you can switch to a flexible monthly plan to continue the fun. There also is a Facebook group for additional support and community. Spaces are limited, so book now to secure your spot!

Thank you everyone who came out to support Have a Heart Namibia - Spay and Neuter Project and support locally made products at our first annual Pet Market. It was such a pleasure to be part of raising N$3400 for this essential initiative.

If you missed out, no worries, The Residence and Doggie Lodge Swakopmund (Clients) will be back next December with even more ideas to make the season bright! We are already discussing what's to come!
