This was a group effort, and again the guy shad to stalk in from a pretty high point. However, the Stag played along, and Scott made the shot count.
This was a pretty hard stalk, in some pretty rough terrain. The guys had to find their way down from the high point behind them. It does not look like it, but hiking is extremely difficult, and everything is wet. Rob got within 230 yards and made a good shot. Luckily the rut was in full swing.
Mark was just lucky again. This was one of the "easier" stalks of the entire 2 weeks.
Jamie and Janice found the Stag, sleeping in a draw, out of the wind. Good shot and a good hunt.
Doc hunted pretty hard for his Stag and the 1st afternoon out, nothing came into the field. 2nd afternoon out and this monster came in from totally the wrong direction. Right time, right place.
Another windy day and Caroline crawled in to under 100 yards.
First Stag of the trip, on a pretty windy and miserable day. The guys heard the Stag roaring and Cody crawled into around 150 yards, perfect shot. Recovery was pretty wet and cold too.
Welcome back to Doc and Stella to Namibia.
Not much cover for Doc to try and get closer to the Sable. After a resent accident, Doc had to make the shot with his left hand, but everything worked out in the end.
Eland hunt in some pretty thick brush.
last light Kudu trophy. Another long day in the mountains and this bull was literally taken with barely enough daylight to take trophy photos.
The guys stalked in on this group of Gemsbok and Daniel shot an exceptionally old bull with a lot of battle scars. Good trophy animal to harvest.
After 3 days of frustration, trying to get within shooting range of Zebra and then just seeing stripes disappearing over the horizon, Daniel finally got a shot off on one and off course, it had to run down into a hellhole again before dying.
