Someone asked what it take to breed 10,000 fishes and and the possible profit Realisable: Below is my answer deduced from MY EXPERIENCE:
FEEDS
250,000 worth of feeds would be spent on 1,000 fishes for the period of 4 months, that is to say, 250,000 times 10 (10,000) would require 2,500,000 worth of feeds. Remember, there are other expenses 👇👇👇👇👇👇
FINGELINGS & OTHER BILLS
Expenses/bills like fingelings let's say 10,000 times 30 naira each equals 300,000, Transportation, vaccines, utility salaries etc, let's place that at 500,000 for the period of four months, these boils down to a total sum of 3,300,000.
MORTALITY
During the breeding period, mortality are inevitable, if per adventure you experience 10% mortality maximum which is fair enough, you would be left with 9000. Assuming they attain a survival rate of 9000 fishes times 0.800 grams (Average possible weight of the stock), it would amount to 7,200 tons (Realisable Weight)
SALES:
Sales varies from places to places. Meanwhile, if you sell at 900 naira per kilogram, the total amount to be realized would be 9,000 fishes times 0.800 Kilograms equals 7,200 time 900 naira per Kilogram Equals 6,480,000 Naira.
PROFIT.
You invested 3,300,000 and made sales of 6,480,000 which means, your profit would be 3,180,000 showing 49 percent interest rate.
EVALUATION
It is difficult to make more than 50 percent of your total investment if you experience a bountiful harvest except when you make your feeds yourself.
