Not sure if many people know the breed standards for German Shepard’s, I didn’t make this I found it on the internet and added the “standard” and “out of standard” on the chart like thing. The out of standards aren’t accepted by the ack and ckc (that’s all I know idk about others) but just posting this just in case some people don’t know 🙂 the out of standard colours might be pretty to look at but, may have some health issues and etc. If not allowed pls delete, I’m not coming at anyone that has any of the out of standard breeds just letting some people know what the standards are if they didn’t already know

Loyal, strong, and courageous, the Caucasian Shepherd Dog is a fierce family protector. They were bred to care for flocks and defend the home against wild predators in the rough Caucasus Mountain region. They’re also known as Caucasian Mountain Dogs, Russian Bear Dogs, Baskhan (Karachay) Pariy, Caucasian Ovcharka Dogs, or just CO, and there are many variants and types.

This massive breed is highly territorial and won’t back down from a fight, even against bears or wolves. Caucasian Shepherd Dogs are intelligent, but their stubborn, independent nature can make them difficult to train. Their natural distrust of strangers and other animals can also lead to aggressive tendencies if an experienced trainer doesn’t keep them in check.

This breed is not a good choice for novice owners, and though they are fairly low-energy dogs, the sheer size of Caucasian Shepherd Dogs makes them poorly suited for apartment living and homes with small children. Still, with proper training and socialization, Caucasian Shepherd Dogs can make strong watchdogs, family companions, and even therapy dogs.

While they may not appeal to first-time dog owners, Caucasian Shepherd Dogs will reward experienced, patient, consistent trainers with gentle love and affection that will make them excellent lifelong family members

"BLOODLINE"--What does it mean?

"BLOODLINES: What do we mean? A bloodline is formed by mostly an influential sire through inbreeding and line breeding that gives his characteristics to a range of related offspring. The Germans use the word "Hochzucht" and this involves breeding with the best dogs: the breeding lines and families of dogs which in a period are the best representatives of the breed. This culminates in the most important events in the GSD world particularly the major shows. Landsgruppen and Sieger Shows in different countries; with the top being the main breed show in the country of origin: the Hauptzuchtschau in Germany. Those dogs' lines and families which can perform there and their descendants belong to the "Hochzucht". This system has dominated German Shepherd Dog breeding for decades and has a worldwide influence on the breeding of our breed. In this system we must remember Sires have the most influence upon the population. Dams (performing bi***es) are the most important for the individual success of the breeder (kennel)."
