I didn't want to post anything on this page today but after watching a video of this Catholic Priest, I just had to say something.
While preaching, the priest asked if there was anyone among the worshippers who could gift him N5,000. Many people came out with N5,000.
He asked them to stand by his right.
He asked again if there was anyone among the worshippers who were in desperate need of N5,000. Someone that N5,000 could be extremely helpful to.
Many people rushed out and he asked them to queue up by his left.
He turned to those who came out to gift him N5,000 and asked them to please pick one person each from those who were in desperate need and gift them the money.
While watching the video, I didn't know when I shouted “This is the true gospel of Jesus Christ. This is how it should be.”
Honestly, I wish other pastors would learn from this priest and stop their desperation to enrich themselves at the expense of their p00r members and instead focus on finding ways to help the poor among their members.
It's cr1minal to look at a struggling man and ask him to give all that he has to you as a pastor so that God can bless him.
It's cr1minal to ask a struggling widow to give you her husband's lands so that you can pray for her children to be safe.
It's cr1minal to extort money from your members in the name of providing them God’s blessings and protection. God’s blessings and protection has never and will never be for sell.
As a pastor, you should be a Shepherd, not a wolf, and this priest has just shown what it means to represent Christ.
