The Cane Corso is a dog breed originally from Italy and its history goes back as far as antiquity. It is believed to be descended from ancient mosses used in war and hunting in the southern region of Italy. Its name "Cane Corso" comes from the Latin word "Cohors," which means "guardian" or "protector."

The ancestors of the Cane Corso were used as war dogs in Ancient Rome, where they were noted for their bravery, strength and fighting skills. These dogs were employed in the fight against enemies and also as guardians of properties and herds.

After the fall of the Roman Empire, the Cane Corso continued to be used for protection and guarding duties in rural Italy. For centuries, this breed was appreciated for its ability to protect family and home, as well as its dexterity in hunting large prey, such as boars.

Over the years, the Cane Corso has evolved and adapted to the changing needs of society. In the 20th century, the race was on the brink of extinction due to industrialization and changes in the way of life in Italy. However, thanks to the efforts of some passionate breeders, it was managed to preserve the breed and promote selective breeding.

In the 1980s, the Cane Corso experienced a revival and began to gain popularity in both Italy and other countries. A standard of the race was established and associations and clubs were formed dedicated to its promotion and preservation.

Today, the Cane Corso is recognized as a powerful and versatile breed. He is valued for his balanced character, loyalty, courage and ability to protect. It is used as a working dog in guard and protection duties as well as in sporting activities such as IPO (obedience, protection and tracking). He is also appreciated as a loyal companion and protector in the homes of many families around the world.

The history of the Cane Corso is a testament to its remarkable adaptability and continued relevance as a valuable breed both in the workplace and in the family. His legacy lives on as a noble and powerful dog, embodies the spirit of protection and loyalty that has characterized the breed throughout the centuries.

After so many long search , after been swindled by fraudsters that Never own a chihuahua, but pose as kennel owner to sell LONGCOAT GSD puppy, I saw a beautiful girl like this named "KELLY", not knowing it was a fraud, I paid for her and was expecting my puppy to ship then reality struck....they were scammers there was no puppy anywhere. @

I consulted Drago Team if they can ship a puppy from thier Ireland Kennel, the quotation was too expensive, So I kept on searching, I eventually came across Valentine Kennel in Pennsylvania that has this rare breed of LONGCOAT GSD, he offered to give me a puppy, I drove 10hrs to-fro to go pick "Pink" but I gave her "Kelly" as a replacement for the imaginary one that I paid for initially that never came.

ATTENTION BUYERS & BREEDERS.

If I may offer this information to any perspective BUYER: this short message is in no way meant to insult, discourage, offend or belittle anyone. This is meant for the sole purpose of information.
Top breeders invest thousands of dollars into their dogs. Whether it be, but not limited to, purchasing top lines, importing, traveling expenses, admin cost (paperwork to switch imported dogs to AKC), health testing, DNA required by AKC for imports, feeding the top foods available, kennel setups or home preparation for our dogs. And the list goes on and on and on. There is an enormous amount of money that goes into being a top quality respected and reputable breeder.

So with that being said, please do not get offended when a top breeder does not offer a “deal”. Often times we get, “your dogs are way too expensive” or “I’m looking for a $300-$500 dog” or “can you take ———- amount instead of your price?”Or “I only have this much, come on, work with me”. While we are never offended when someone is not ready for our caliber of dog, we only ask that you do not get offended when we respectfully decline such offers that do not meet our minimum requirements. Most of us do not simply breed for the the income. In fact, if the truth be told, a lot of us break even or have minimal income from breeding. For a top breeder, it’s not solely about the income. The simple fact is, it cost us a great deal of money to own and maintain these gorgeous dogs that attract you to us.

We do not (well I do not) knock other breeders who sell cheaper dogs and we agree that cheaper does not always mean less quality, HOWEVER, my Philosophy is simple: Quality isnt expensive, it is priceless. I’ll speak for myself and other top breeders (if any of them disagree I am OK with them saying so), we provide you with a peace of mind that you’re getting the very best we have the offer along with the best customer service. We stand by our dogs and we do not just sell to anyone who has the money. Our dogs are our family and we want to make sure our extended family is going to someone worthy of owning them.
Can you find a cheaper pup? Absolutely!! Will you be ok with it? Maybe. If you are attracted to our dogs, it’s because we’ve put in the work to get them and the work to maintain them. Blessings to you all. I hope this helps.

Muchas veces nos hacemos la pregunta errónea, y normalmente es ¿ esta raza puede satisfacer mis necesidades?

La respuesta es simple:

Cualquier perro puede dar cariño, pero puedes tu satisfacer las necesidades de la raza que tanto te gusta? O simplemente vuestra convivencia se va a centrar en intentar paliar sus instintos hasta conseguir (en el mejor de los casos para el animal) un peluche, y si no consigo esto pues lo tiro por que : era muy bruto, tenía mucha energía para mi, es muy cariñoso pero me marca la casa, si me voy a trabajar ladra, me rompe las puertas de casa y un etc etc de excusas.
Ya hemos apagado muchas razas, transformándolas de insaciables cazadores o bravos perros de agarre en alfombras enfermas.

Haz un favor a las razas aún con algo de esencia y no las castigues no las apagués.

Tessy is also a Top Notch Rotwellier from a Pedigree parents whose Bloodline we are still trying to trace because the first owner wasnt mindful of it not knowing how important the records are, we adopted it without the record.
