In my last post. My Bio char two barrel kiln had been constructed, with the smaller barrel, filled with pieces of wood and bamboo for the burn.
The Bio char burn is intended to burn slowly emitting very small amounts of Carbon into the atmosphere, which would have been the case if it was done by the usual wood burning process. The first video shows the burn process and the clean emission of gases from the barrels chimney.
In the next clip,you can see the results of the burn process from the Bio Char Kiln. The intended end result is to have the wood pieces remain intact after the burn, i.e not reduced to ashes. While still maintaining high amounts of it's cellulose, by still having a crumbly texture to touch. As intended the results i expected were achieved.
Now all I need to do is activate the contents of the barrel to turn the charred wood into an appropriate soil conditioner.

Busy bees. These bees were attracted to thier new home (beehives) which we just installed. Bees are attracted by certain pheromones which we applied and we were pleasantly surprised that the very next day the bees were in the beehive and haven't left since. It's truly intriguing to see that living things were created in a state of order. I am always amazed at how every bee in the hive works instinctively for the security, food, construction, storage, reproduction, and welfare of the hive.
