There are home made ways you can make your working breed work, since they are not on the farm, police or military team, etc.

In dog training, I have learnt to always try as long as I see an average of the traits required for certain task naturally displayed by the dog.
Most times, it's been worth the try. But will dog owners put their money into it when the outcome isn't certain yet?

Tricks are a way of bonding with your dogs by engaging their minds.
With a proper understanding of your dog's drives and motivation, coupled with a little guidance, you can teach your dog limitless tricks.
I'm not a big fan of tricks because, many dog owners get carried away and focus more on what gives them the views and likes, leaving the weightier matters with respect to their dog Leadership responsibilities.

Dog trainers train your dogs to give you a corridor to bond with your dogs. It's left to you to use that training to bond more with them.
Training doesnt substitute for your bonding time with your dogs. It only makes that bonding time less stressful and more meaningful.

DOGS ARE NOT Robots!!!
I still can't get the reason why some people be thinking motivating(visibly or non-visibly motivation) a dog to do stuffs means the dog doesn't know/understand the commands you demand of them.
My answer to them remain the same.
Behaviour = Genetics + ENVIRONMENT.
Motivation is part of the environmental factors that influence your dog's behaviour(instinctive or demanded) at any given time.
The less motivated your dog is the less lnterested he is in engaging you. That's why your dog us very excited to engage certain persons in your family than the others. Because, at the end of most engagement, they(the dogs) know there's gonna be a reward, either verbal or physical or a combination of both.

Your purpose for getting a dog in the first place should:
1. Determine the breed you get,
2. The raising method,
3. Kinds of exposure,
4. Form of reward and correction(with informed application),
5. Kinds of Engagement,
6. Type and positioning of the dog's house, and many other.
Not all dogs are genetically incompetent and not all dogs are genetically competent.
Information is key.
Emply the servive of a professional, in choice of breed, selection of puppy and method or raising amd training.

There's a world pf difference between obedience commands and manners, which is found in the informed leadership of the humans in the dog's life.
I've said over and again that obedience commands are not the end in themselves, but a means to an end. This video is a good explanation of this statement.

The pulling, pushing and the tearing bbites are the common forms of dog biye, amongst many others.
This cam be genetic and/or trained.
A dog can as well be able to do the three.
You'll know which is genetic when a certain bite is common to dogs from a particular kennel.
Solid dogs don't just happen. They are results of some breeders' sweat.
