Ear cropping
Ear Cropping is the removal of part or all of the external flaps of an animal's ear. The procedure sometimes involves bracing and taping the remainder of the ears to train them to point upright. The procedure has no medical advantage to a healthy dog, it's aesthetic or cosmetic for the owners(done before 12 weeks). It causes, pain, stress, risk of anesthesia and blood loss for the patient, Not all veterinarians will perform the procedure unless it's medically needed, and cases where it is medically needed involves ear tumors, large wart that won't heal, severe trauma to the ear, recurrent aural hematoma, so talk to your veterinarian for advice when ear cropping is concerned.

*GROOMING a Lhasa Apso
Long hair or puppy cut? Both require regular maintenance, and this is a choice for the owner to make. Lhasas in a puppy cut or other clip still should be brushed regularly and bathed between visits to the groomer. Long hair requires regular brushing, using the right tools and techniques. Expect to bathe a long coat at least every two weeks, and brush at least once between baths. Thorough rinsing is essential, as shampoo residue irritates the skin. Conditioners and finishing sprays make grooming easier. Freshly bathed long or clipped hair should be thoroughly dried and brushed, as damp hair, even when clean, will mat.

*BREED PROFILE
Lhasa Apsos will please you if it pleases them to please you. They are highly intelligent, sometimes compared to a willful toddler. They can learn just about anything that a trainer makes interesting enough to master on their terms. They do not appreciate repetitive drill and can become uncommonly stubborn if bullied or badgered. Most cases of unacceptable Lhasa behavior involve situations with inconsistent, improper, or nonexistent human leadership. This is a breed for creative, motivated people who enjoy a canine companion of like mind.

What is a pedigree (purebred) dog?

A pedigree is a table or chart recording a line of ancestors or lineage, the record of descent of an animal, showing it to be purebred. A pedigree dog is descended from animals which have all been of a PARTICULAR TYPE , and is therefore considered to be of good quality.

A pedigree dog is born from two dogs of the same breed (as in picture 1), and is registered with a recognised club or society that maintain a register for dogs of that description As opposed to a hybrid (crossbreed) dog which is born from two dogs of different breeds (as seen in picture 2-7)

ALOPECIA in dogs can be the result of skin infections such as fungal infection, bacterial infection or parasites such as mites, and it often results in the dog scratching or licking an itchy or sore area. Alopecia in dogs can affect all breeds and genders at any stage of their life.
Once you begin to find hair or hair balls around the house or kennel, pls contact a qualified Veterinarian to provide the appropriate care and Rx.

*DOG SLEEPING POSITION
*Side Sleepers
The most common dog sleeping position is the Side Sleeper, which is when a dog sleeps on its side with its 4 legs extended (as in the photo). Medium sized to larger dog breeds tend to sleep in this position. Dogs who sleep in this position are usually relaxed, comfortable, and trust their surroundings. The best bedding option for side sleepers is Pillow Styled Dog beds or even Orthopedic Dog beds.

*DOG SLEEPING POSITION *Back to Back/Cuddle Dog
The tendency that many dogs need to cuddle when day sleep might be an hang over from puppy hood, which has to do with body heat since puppies have difficulty regulating their body temperature, so as the dog matures, sleeping back to back becomes a sort of habit from puppy hood.
Just like cuddling with other people, cuddling with your pet is all about affection, While you are ultimately responsible for your pet’s care, you are extremely aware of just how much your pet gives you in return through love and companionship.

*SUPERMAN PUP
It was named this because it is very similar to the superman stance that we commonly see in the superhero comics, This position is popular in puppies, mostly because it’s an easy position for a dog to wake up and jump right back into playing. As a result, the Superman position is definitely an indicator of a fun, energetic dog.

*BREED PROFILE
Although they are considered to be working dogs, Dobermanns are often stereotyped as being ferocious and aggressive. As a personal protection dog, the Dobermann was originally bred for these traits: it had to be large and intimidating, fearless, and willing to defend its owner from attackers (especially other guard dogs), but sufficiently obedient and restrained to do so only on command. These traits served the dog well in its role as a personal defense dog, police dog, or war dog, but were not ideally adapted to a companionship role. The Dobermann's aggression has been toned down by modern breeders over the years, however. Today's Dobermanns are known to have a much more even and good-natured temperament, as well as extreme loyalty, high intelligence, and great trainability. The modern Dobermann is known to be energetic, watchful, fearless, and obedient.

*On the back or crazy legs
This shows the dog is hot, and adopt this position to quickly cool down, This concept is based on the fact that Dog belies have thinner fur (which helps in easy heat exchange with the surrounding) and their paws hold the sweat gland, on the positive side, This position shows the dog is
Confident and relaxed with its surrounding, exposing his belly shows u it's in for a long deep sleep,
Submissive and vulnerable, showing that it trusts and sees your home as its own.

This position refers to when a dog is lying on his stomach and resting his head on his paws, In this position, the muscles of the limps are contracted which prevents the dog from falling into deep sleep, they go into this position to relieve themselves of stress and to be comfortable while staying AWAKE, You find them in this position mostly when they have a considerable amount of energy and don't feel like sleeping, but instead Prefer staying in a resting position where they can easily get up and play , , ,
