Bold, confident dogs stand straight upright or actually lean toward the object of attention. They often stay pointed straight at the object of attention.

**As they become more insecure or fearful, they begin to lean away from the source of their fear, actually walking backward away from it in extreme cases.

The complication is that when dogs are stalking prey, the neck often carries the head low regardless of confidence level, so the neck must be read in context with the overall situation.

I wrote this on my personal page. I desire to share this with the group so that those younger or those with less time in the community can understand some of the consequential perceptions within the actual professionals within our world dog community. I also desire to share this so that those can understand the requirements and the stress on respect and professionalism 💯🤝

At no point in this write up am I claiming that I am a part of the actual professionals that serve our world, worldwide and obtain the vast knowledge of canines I am referring to. I am grateful to them for their knowledge for progression. I write this as a student. I am not talking about salesmen or saleswomen that persuade an illusion of the working canine based on sales or who they sell to without actual tested proof of work. I'm talking about the professionals with vast experience with building a K9 from the ground up who train/decoy/breed. Of course each has their own individual goals, especially with their program's, but we can all conclude that there are different categories and different requirements depending on the work desired of a canine which brings different degrees of education and knowledge. Each is their own.

Quick example...
A "livestock guardian" would typically not be utilized as a "family guardian", "personal protection dog"
A "family Guardian" would typically not be utilized as a "Police k9 unit"
A typical "Police K9" would typically not be utilized in a S.W.A.T team setting or military warzone.
Etc.

This write-up is my personal opinion on some of the consequences from the online, rude, disrespectful actions of many "canine entrepreneurs" when discussing, questioning or trying to debate with the professionals and the leaders of the community. Which has resulted in privatizing and silence within our leaders and mentors of our community. Some of this started historically on forums and unfortunately continues in many groups today. I am sure that we all have observed this in some way or fashion. But of course this resorts to people not desiring to share information or education... Pride, ego, dirt, semantics, backstabbing, money of course... and those desiring the spotlight of public perception before education and the development of the canine community as a whole for the actual working canine.

This might be an extreme example... but if one dog was worth a million dollars in public perception... and in reality from a scientific genetic standpoint it was worth zero... humans would breed it for a million... before not breeding it for the progression of the working dog.

As I see in groups and see the continuous disrespect and mockery... It makes me understand more and more why actual serious professional trainers and breeders never educate or correct certain ridiculousness or false narratives and theories online. I come to the conclusion that it is not based on an ego standpoint but simply a waste of time.
It would not only be a waste of time for them... It simply would be an argument with Facebook Keyboard Warriors with zero experience and "backyard theory semantics on platforms; then a progressive debate with the vast scientific understandings, theories that have been concluded, and an actual proof of concept within a true working canine. Then you have your other category of narcissists that perceive themselves as leaders in the dog community, stand behind their sales, and not behind the achievements of their dogs...which resorts to their desire to silence those who have contrary idea's theories etc.

This reminds me of a verse in the Bible...
Luke 8:10 (KJV) And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand.

I guess if this correlates to the canine world ( even if you don't believe the Bible)... some people just need to feel and take a bite from a real biting dog instead of looking at it with their facebook goggles and trying to replicate a "behavior" aka an act for a screenshot and a "me too" movement.

Unlike the other many groups that continue with disrespect, hate, egos, etc. This will be the contrary.
There will be conflicting ideas.
There will be differences in opinion's.
This is what creates theories.
Lastly this is what allows the canine to evolve proving what works; on not only a genetic basis for breeding but a curriculum basis for training, and a tested application basis for conclusion.

Hello Darkness, “my old friend”
I’ve come to talk with you again,
Because a VISION softly creeping.
And left its seeds while I was sleeping
And the vision that was planted in my brain still remains.

Within the sound of silence
In restless dreams I walked alone
Narrow streets of cobblestone
Beneath the halo of a street lamp
I turn my collar to the cold and damp
When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light
That split the night and have me chasing the wind.

I thought the world was mine

We just have to do something for ourselves.

Actually, I’m terrified every time I fight.
But I tell myself, “I CAN DO IT”.
And I must remember why I fight.
