Relationships are vital to us a human beings. Marriage is the institution that God has created to forge the strongest relationships. Its important to go into any relationship with the correct expectations. The scripture above lays the foundation of what we can expect to get out of a relationship and since we can only reproduce after our own kind, it means that a relationship will simply reflect what we are.
There are people that believe that once they get married, happiness will come and fulfilment will follow however the reality is that soon after marriage, once the excitement has dissipated you realise you are still you. Happiness and contentment is something we need to take into a relationship.
Too many people endure an abusive boy or girl friend for fear that they will lose their joy if they split from the man or woman, they are afraid of being alone. It is imperative that you don't elevate a relationship or marriage to the level of God. That relationship does not define who you or I are. Many people can detect when a lady is insecure on their own and can use that weakness to lord it over them, soon this can lead to psychological abuse.
Always draw your worth from the cross of Jesus Christ whether you are single or not. Today if you are feeling insecure because you are single, I pray you lose those feelings in Jesus name.
Psalm 139:14
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
Being a happy single means focussing on the passage above and knowing that God has an assignment for you to do.
