SOS Clínica Veterinaria busca contratar un nuevo asistente de clínica, comenzando lo antes posible. 🧑🏽‍💼 Este es un puesto de tiempo completo, que trabaja directamente con un equipo de personas con ideas afines y apasionadas por las mascotas. 🥰🐾

⬇️ REQUISITOS: ⬇️

- Debe ser Nicaragüense
- Debe amar y apasionarse por el bienestar y la seguridad de los animales, además de sentirse cómodo interactuando con diferentes tipos de animales.
- Debe ser un jugador de equipo y poder trabajar fácilmente de forma independiente y con sus compañeros de trabajo.
- Debe ser puntual y estar disponible para trabajar de 8 a 5 de lunes a viernes.
- Debe tener una actitud positiva y ser capaz de mantener la calma bajo presión.
- Debe estar orientado a los detalles y abierto a aprender nuevas habilidades.
- Debe ser comunicativo y tener un teléfono que funcione.
- Debe sentirse cómodo estando expuesto a sangre, heces y animales en peligro.

⬇️ RESPONSABILIDADES: ⬇️

- Mantener la Clínica Veterinaria SOS limpia, sanitaria y organizada durante cada día que estamos abiertos.
- Alimentar y administrar medicamentos a todos los animales que residen en la clínica diariamente.
- Cuidar a las mascotas rescatadas dándoles paseos y baños necesarios, recogiéndolas, cambiando la ropa de cama, limpiando el espacio habitable y brindándoles amor y atención.
- Asistir a los médicos dentro y fuera de la sala de examen.
- Ayudar a nuestro peluquero con el cuidado de los clientes.
- Ayudar a nuestra recepcionista a organizar archivos, ayudar a los clientes, etc.
- Ocasionalmente ayudar con el trabajo de rescate comunitario fuera de la clínica.

- Si tienes experiencia con animales.
- Si tienes experiencia en limpieza.
- Si tienes experiencia en atención al cliente.

🐾 ¿CUÁNDO ES EL MEJOR MOMENTO PARA ESTERILIZAR A MI PERRO? 🐾

💙 MACHOS: Dependiendo del tamaño, se pueden castrar a partir de los 3 meses. 🐶 ¡Los perros machos pueden fecundar a una perra desde los 5 meses de edad! 🙊 Recomendamos tenerlos castrados ANTES de la marca de 7-8 meses (para la mayoría). 👨🏽‍⚕️ Esto también ayudará con el entrenamiento de obediencia, jorobas, marcar su territorio, habilidades de socialización y equilibrar sus emociones/hormonas. 🤩

💗 HEMBRAS: Dependiendo del tamaño, puedes esterilizar a una cachorra hembra a partir de los 4 meses de edad. 🐕 Las perras pueden tener su primer celo a partir de los 5 meses. 😱 Cuando los cachorros quedan preñados tan jóvenes o en su primer celo con menos de 1 año, puede ser muy peligroso para la perra y los cachorros, ya que aún no está completamente desarrollado. 🥺 Recomendamos la esterilización antes de su primer celo (para la mayoría) para una recuperación más rápida de la salud y no tener un embarazo accidental. 🫶🏻

🐾 WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO STERILIZE MY DOG? 🐾

💙 MALES: Depending on the size, you can castrate as young as 3 months old. 🐶 Male dogs can impregnate a female dog as young as 5 months of age! 🙊 We recommend having them castrated BEFORE the 7-8 month mark (for most). 👨🏽‍⚕️ This will also help with obedience training, hu***ng, marking their territory, socialization skills, and balancing their emotions/hormones. 🤩

💗 FEMALES: Depending on the size, you can sterilize a female puppy as young as 4 months old. 🐕 Female dogs can have their first heat as little as 5 months old. 😱 When puppies become pregnant this young or within their first heat under 1 years old, it can be very dangerous for the female dog & the puppies as she is not fully developed yet. 🥺 We recommend sterilization before their first heat (for most) for a quicker health recovery & not having an accidental pregnancy. 🫶🏻

DENTAL CLEANINGS 🦷

Canine dental cleanings are extremely important to your dog’s health! By the age of 3, over 80% of dogs have some form of dental disease. 🙈

SIGNS of dental disease are: ⬇️

✅ painful or bleeding mouth
✅ refusal to eat or drink
✅ excess drooling

Tracheobronchitis is a disease that affects the respiratory tract of dogs. 😮‍💨🫁

It is a viral or bacterial condition whose main symptom is a dry and continuous cough in our dog. It is highly contagious but only between dogs. 🦮🚫🐕

This disease is transmitted both through the air and by direct contact between dogs. 🐶😶‍🌫️

Kennel cough affects dogs of all breeds and ages, but puppies are especially at risk of catching this disease. 😥

What are the symptoms of kennel cough? ⬇️

If our dog coughs and the cough is dry and intense, it is probably giving us the first clue that it has been infected. This cough will be accompanied by sporadic vomiting caused by retching and expulsion of white foam from the mouth. They can also often sneeze, present hoarseness and discharge, both from the eyes and from the nose. 🤕

Normally the dog's mood is not affected, but if the disease progresses, we can notice apathy, loss of appetite and even fever. 🤒

If your dog begins to show symptoms, they will require treatment as it can continue to worsen. Please come in for a consult any time between 9-5 Monday through Friday! 🏩👨🏽‍⚕️🐾

We would like to make a small dedication to a big character in our SOS family - Sailor. 💔 After 6 weeks of waiting his return, we are all sadly sitting with the understanding that he will probably never return to the clinic. 🥺 The first night we got the keys to what would soon become a vet clinic, was the night he walked in the door & fell into our hearts. 🥰 He was the biggest goof, befriending all of our patients & rescues, sleeping on every surface, eating everything, and stealing everyone’s hearts. 🐈 He was there through our most difficult baby steps & our greatest milestones. 🥹 His loss is a BIG one for us & he is missed everyday. ❤️‍🩹Thank you for your presence, your sass, your love for all animals, & the pure joy you brought to our clinic. 🫶 We love you forever Sailor! 😘
