Sophie heeft haar 10e grondwerk les gehad vandaag en een mooi certificaat in ontvangst genomen. Hiermee is zij op weg een echte paardenkenner te worden!!

Deel 2 FALONE!

At some point she calmed down and I could see all the frustration accumulated for a very long time had finally found a way out.

Isa, her rider, was watching and felt what was happening. She has a very strong character as well, what makes them a perfect match.

Since that day, Falone went though a very interesting transformation.

She would be much softer and easier to handle. Falone was calmer and the equestrian center decided to let other riders mount Falone during some lessons.

But now that Falone knew humans were perfectly capable of communicating clearly, she slowly became more critical of the new riders. She would just rear or buck the riders off her back if they were lacking proficient communication skills...

On the other hand, she would be calmer and more focused with Isa and that one other rider she would do jumping with. Falone felt better and they all made progress.

Eventually, after svereal weeks, Isa wasn’t sure if the understanding was still there and asked for another lesson.

During that second lesson I watched how they worked together and saw a completely other Falone. In this session, we focused on how to create more comfort and fun in the collaboration.

Later, I watched a riding lesson with Isa and Falone (Isa rides without saddle, with a barebackpad) and I have to say, those two dance together...

I am proud of Falone and Isa.

Two groundwork Lessons with Falone and her rider Isa.

Some time ago, I was back for the second groundwork & body language lesson at this equestrian center, in the beautiful French speaking part of Belgium.

From the start, Falone and Isa already had a very strong connection, but after the first lesson Falone had gone through a metamorphosis...

Falone is a very intelligent and strong mare that has a full agenda with jumping, cross and dressage.

When I first met Falone, her language was very clear. She was very intimidating and she wasn’t expecting clear communication from humans in general.

She was trying to chase me and Isa.

To send Falone away, I had to impress her a lot. During the session, I was more focused on my own comfort and safety then on hers.

Although Falone was ready for a fight, she started to understand that I was not there to pick one. I was there to show her that I could understand her and that she deserved to have her opinion as well. That she could trust the leadership of her rider and that we could take care of her….

Welkom dierenvrienden!

Bij animal services kun je terecht voor:

- Uitlaatservice in kleine groepjes of individueel.
- Voeding en huisvesting advies voor paarden, honden en katten.
- Opleiden van honden en paarden.
- Begeleiding bij probleem gedrag.

Er wordt gekeken naar de natuurlijke gedragingen van het dier, waarbij u door het gehele proces deskundig wordt begeleid.

Overige diensten:
Naast mijn specialisatie met honden en paarden ben ik ook graag bezig met andere dieren, daarom sta ik open voor bijzondere vragen. Dit is niet mijn specialisatie waardoor ik vooral ondersteuning en hulp kan bieden, geen deskundig advies.

Het komt wel eens voor dat hobbyisten of kleine bedrijven handen tekort komen door omstandigheden. Voorbeelden zijn ondersteunen bij verlossen, helpen bij curatieve behandelingen, schapen scheren etc.
