Since I am no longer operating in South Africa I wanted to give a promotional shoutout (on my small page haha) to Pinky’s Omnoms for selling such amazing and unique habitat accessories and treats for hamsters and other small pets! 🤩 The hamster habitats are so well made and worth the price for quality and size! The treats are simply delicious to small pets (my hamsters loved the forage tunnels and variety mix and most certainly would have loved the new ones!) Chanel Pitout is also a lovely person with the best interests of the animals at heart always. 🥰

My beautiful blue satin coat Campbell dwarf hamster is home with me now! 🐹🥰 It was quite the drive to get her but well worth the trip! 😁 I moved from South Africa to the Netherlands at the end of last year. I've been so excited to get a purebred hamster from an ethical breeder here as that's not possible in SA. Her name is Fae and she is already such a sweet girl! 😍 If you haven't seen it, I posted photos of her habitat on my page too. 🐹🏠

Guess what? I'm adopting a Campbell dwarf hamster from an ethical breeder in the Netherlands! 😍 The habitat is ready and waiting for the arrival of Fae who is arriving tomorrow! 🤩🐹🥰 This habitat is 5000cm2 and consists of a 30cm deep bedding section along with many substrates for digging and enjoyment. I also have sprays and forage scattered around. The watch box and multichamber box are DIY projects, made by myself, while I wait for my hamster items from South Africa to arrive in the Netherlands! 😊 I would like to add a background in the future and I will inevitably make some changes depending on how Fae reacts to her new environment. But overall it is complete (there is a lid just not photographed). I hope she will be happy in her new home soon! 😍🌈🌿💐🧚🏻‍♀️

Simon was put to sleep yesterday. 😢💔 He had a tumour on his chest that grew very rapidly and the exotic vet said that it was in his lymph nodes and so, would only spread. The only other option was chemotherapy but due to his old age the vet recommended the best action would be to let him pass peacefully. He endured a lot in his little life including 2 respiratory infections and an operation to remove a cyst growth. He fought bravely through it all and we never gave up on him. He was thriving in his last month of life - it seemed like he would live forever but he made it to 2 years and 5 months. Simon was a beautiful hamster and I will miss him forever. I am absolutely heartbroken as I felt a deep connection to him. RIP Simon 🥺❤️ Thank you to Sonika van der Merwe for the opportunity to care for Simon and thank you to Cherie Moore for looking after him so well after I immigrated. We all loved him so much ❤️ ###

These were the first Frendly Pet Supplies chamber boxes! The small being suitable for dwarf hamsters and the large for syrian hamsters. These chamber boxes came with removable lids and varnished with a safe wood sealant! 🐹

Meet the creator behind the screen! My name is Tara Jane Harris and I am the founder of Frendly Pet Supplies. My small business was named after my first hamster, Fren, who was my heart-hamster. Fren led me to learn all about proper hamster care. He also inspired me to start this business so that other hamsters could also have tasty treats and a cool habitat. My passion for animals drives me to create products for pets that I know are made with love! 😊❤️

Today I spotted Simon coming out of his Frendly Hamster House 🏠 How cute 🥰
Our houses are handmade with safe wood and varnish. They are decorated with bark and moss finishings, and can even have additional things added like mushrooms, ladybird designs etc. 🍄🐞 Our unique houses come in both dwarf and syrian sizes!

Simon's 8000cm2 habitat is all complete in the interior! 🤩 Half the habitat is filled with 25cm bedding (a mix of white Oxbow and colourful Carefresh). The other half consists of cocopeat and sphagnum moss; I would like to add other substrates later like some reptile bark. Simon has a chamber box, nesting box, sand box and hideaway tunnel in his bedding section (all on stilts for safety). He also has a 29cm wooden wheel, hideouts, spider plant and a sand bath in the other half of the habitat. All the accessories come from my own business as well as Pinky’s Omnoms and Willowlicious Pet Supplies - Pty Ltd and I have personalised them with paint and decopauge. Cottage core woodland theme on the right 🍄🌿🪴and magical fairy land on the left. 🧚‍♀️🩷🧚‍♂️ I still want to paint and decopauge the exterior but that's a job for another day. 😅 What do you guys think? 🐹😊

At the end of January in 2022 l accompanied my friend to a wonderful lady's house to get my friend's new hamster. That day I fell absolutely head over heels in love with one of the babies up for adoption. Unfortunately, I already had 2 hamsters (Fren & Felicity) and no more space for a 3rd. I had such a connection with the hamster, Simon, so it was absolutely heartbreaking not being able to have him. Fastword to this month: due to sudden circumstances Simon urgently needed a new home in his retirement years (1.5 years old) and my hamsters have passed away. I have space again for this old boy and so I have taken him in! I don't know how much time we will have together but I will cherish it all. Here are some recent photos of him since living with me 🥰 There are still 2 more cute hamsters needing new homes. Please consider adopting them! Location: Port Elizabeth. 🐹❤️
