The daughter of Spitfire v. Koudenhoven and mother of our Tinus became World Veteran Champion at the World Dog Show in Croatia yesterday. We too are proud.

Yesterday I trimmed 11-year-old Bonar v Koudenhoven. Still in great condition and a super coat to trim.

Sometimes I can't resist and go oldskool (modern word) 🤓trimming. Just for fun, don't stress, just spend an hour or 2.5 hobbying.
Mirre has the hair for it, and this way she stays in good shape.

Today Mirre's (Bushfire Blonde Hatchi) first show. At Gorinchem Christmas show she got in stiff competition the res cac/cacib. I'm happy and satisfied with my Little Bouncy Ball, who still has a lot to learn.

Het kon niet uitblijven slechts één Ier in huis was echt niet te doen. Wij stellen de nieuwe vriendin van Tinus voor. Bushfire blonde Hatchi, wij noemen haar Mirre. Vader onze eigen Cory en moeder Twister van Jet van Wijk-Naaborg. In de stamboom bijna alle bekende v. Koudenhovens. Wij zijn er blij mee.

Is it easy to get a Finnish bitch mated by a Dutch male?
Our story:
To begin with the studdog in this case Cory Vasco fan de Lytse Lauwers. He must has his rabies injection's and a ECVO eyetest. Than I have to sign a form that he didn’t do a natural mating 30 days before collecting his semen. On Tuesday ik got a call from Laura and Juha from Finland (kennel Zing up) that their bitch was ready to mate on Thursday.
Wednesday An exciting day started.
Juha travelled very early in the morning from Helsinki by plane to Schiphol and took a train to Eindhoven.
In the meantime I went up and down from Eindhoven to Utrecht pick up the necessary documents (NVWA Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety) only legal on the day of collect the semen. Than I picked up Cory and drove with him and the documents to Cryolab in Eersel where the s***m was collected and packed in a refrigerator. Drove to Eindhoven station to pick up Juha too have a short lunch and put him on the train back to Amsterdam so he could fly to Helsinki late in the evening.
Thursday morning at 07.00 their bitch was inseminated.
We have to wait impatient 30 days for the ultrasound.
Breeding Irish Terriers can be a hobby and sometimes you have to do crazy things for fresh blood. I have lots of respect for the Finnish team and cross my fingers for a good and healthy litter of IT’s.
