To say this is delicious is not doing it justice. Chestnut spread is my favourite winter delight! Spread it on pancakes, mix in yoghurt, eat it with cheese or roasted veggies, even with steak it’s great.

We’ve got a new arrival on our produce list: knotw**d!

This invasive w**d that love, has edible early spring shoots and leaves, which have been described as a cross between asparagus and rhubarb.
Mature shoots are much tougher and need to be peeled before eating and can be eaten raw, grilled, sautéed, pickled and more.
**d can also be used in pies, soups, aspics, sauces, jams, and chutneys, as many are doing as they embrace foods. Its sour taste is often compared to rhubarb and can be substituted in recipes.

This being said, I would like to mention that as with any new foods that you wish to try, it is best to introduce Japanese knotw**d slowly into your diet in small amounts.
The most important thing is that you trust your body, and go slow with incorporating any new plants into your diet!

And don’t forget to enjoy!
