It has been a dream of mine for a long time to share Equine Craniosacral Therapy in South Africa. I have been coming out here for years and knowing that it would be such a wonderful addition to equine welfare to have the possibility to treat horses with craniosacral therapy. It is so needed, so many horses suffer from pressure in this industry. Even a ‘simple’ pullback can alter health in the horse. Thank you to Ashleigh Robinson for giving that final nudge!
I am very grateful to Emma Loftus Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy for Horses and Humans who flew out all the way from Australia and shared the journey with me. With our 2 different backgrounds in craniosacral we believe we brought a lovely mix and the students appreciated that. I am so very proud of the nine wonderful ladies who took the plunge in the deep with us and immersed with new craniosacral ‘tools’ and awareness to work with the horses.
The hands on work was practised at a lovely horse sanctuary where the horses enjoyed our softness. I want to thank Gillian at Tom Ro Haven for Equines and Children for trusting us with her horses and being so open to our work.
Also many thanks to Gilvarry Equine Rehab and Functional Horse Training by Thirza Hendriks for providing support and excellent class environment and a beautiful skeleton to work with. To be continued! 🙌
