Hiking in the forest is a cherished tradition in Norway, deeply embedded in our nation’s lifestyle and culture. “Allemannsretten,” or the “Right to Roam,” is a cornerstone of Norwegian culture, granting everyone free access to the countryside. This traditional right allows people to hike, camp, and explore forests, mountains, and coastlines, regardless of land ownership.

Our dogs enjoys our short and long hikes, and the newest edition to our pack - Kelsi - is already an experienced hiker at only 4 month of age.

** Airedaleterrier tispevalp ledig til rett hjem **

Wayosi Kenward Keeva er 8 uker og leveringsklar. Hun er en nydelig tispe med kullets mest lovende eksteriør, og i tillegg er hun en skikkelig kosejente. Hun er uredd, nysgjerrig og sosial, og har en utpreget lekelyst med god konsentrasjon i leken. Vi ser henne derfor gjerne i et hjem som ønsker å bedrive noen form for hundesportaktivitet, og du vil her ha en hund som kan nå så langt du ønsker. Hun vil også egne seg i et aktivt familiehjem - med eller uten barn, hvor hun vil få god stimuli med turer i skog og mark.

Valpen er etter vår egen Nani (RL1 RL2 RL3 BH-VT Wayosi Isidore Isolde) og den tyske hannhunden Yoda (IBGH1 IFH-V FH1 IFH2 IGP/FH IPO3 SPr1 VDH CH Yoda von der Laubenhaid).

Kullet er avlet med fullt fokus på mentalitet og bruksegenskaper gjennom generasjoner, og vi forventer at valpene skal bli tvers gjennom barnevennlige, sosiale, nysgjerrige og stabile hunder. Valpenes stamtavle består av noen av Europa’s mest suksessrike Airedaleterriere innen hundesport, og vi forventer derfor at valpene vil egne seg til alt av hundesport om det er noe en ønsker å fokusere på - inkludert IGP, redningshund, brukshundsport, lydighet, rallylydighet, agility, nosework og ettersøk - blant annet. I tillegg forventer vi at de vil være fantastiske familiehunder.

Vi har sørget for at valpene i tillegg til gode gener også får med seg en ekstremt god bagasje med miljøtrening og sosialisering. Valpene har opplevd mer på kort tid enn de fleste andre, og de er mer enn klare for å komme seg ut i verden. Kullet har gjort valpementaltest som viser et ekstremt jevnt kull, med uredde, lekne og sosiale valper.

Vi søker deg som har et gjennomtenkt hundehold og som er godt kjent med rasen og dens behov.

New day, new experiences. This time a visit to my fathers house on the country side 🌾 in Nittedal. The pups were all over the place 😅

Today we took the puppies to visit Nani’s co-owner and our extended Wayosi family in Lier, approximately one hour drive from our house. The pups are traveling by car as pros at this point, and they explored the new environment without hesitation 😍

Our puppies after Nani and Yoda turned seven weeks old, and we took some stacked photos of them. Although being bred mainly with focus on mentality and working capacity, I'm happy to see that they also have a pleasant exterior 👌 And, of course, they are so darn cute 😍

It’s puppy roll season for Buck again 😅 4 years old intact male, and still the best nanny 🥰

Our Airedale puppies after Nani and Yoda did their puppy test at 49 days old with Kai Iversen yesterday, and they made us very proud 😍. Just like we also had experienced during the last weeks, they showed themselves to be very even in their personalities, unafraid, social, and playful. Not much upsets them, and they’re always in for a good tug fight. Good potential for an allround dog 👌

I går hadde vi valpetest av fem valper av rasen airedale terrier, oppdretter er Mona Hansen. Valpene er 49 dager og er linjer fra tyske brukshundlinjer.

Dette var et veldig jevnt kull, med små nyanser. Ingen av valpene viste frykt for skarp lydpåvirkning. Alle fremstod som tillitsfulle og sosiale. Alle momenter ble fullført med trygghet og nysgjerrighet. Bør være et godt utgangspunkt for valpekjøpere.

Lykke til. Lille rød (rød halsring) kunne nok ha blitt med meg hjem.

Airedaleterriervalpene våre har blitt 6 uker gamle, og den "morsomme perioden" har virkelig startet! Nå vises personlighetene deres mer og mer, og vi er glade for å se at valpene er barnevennlige, uredde, nysgjerrige, lekne og sosiale. Akkurat slik vi ønsker det.

Avhengig av personlighetsutviklingen de neste ukene, har vi enten en tispe eller en hannhund ledig til det rette hjemmet. Vi søker et hjem som har et gjennomtenkt hundehold og som er godt kjent med rasen og dens behov. Hvis du ønsker å drive med noen form for hundesport på hobbynivå vil hunden definitivt ha kapasiteten, men den vil også trives i et aktivt hjem, både med og uten barn.

Vi har mer enn 40 års erfaring med rasen, og vårt hovedfokus ligger i all hovedsak på mentalitet og helse. Vi sørger for at valpene i tillegg til gode gener også får med seg en ekstremt god bagasje med miljøtrening og sosialisering. Valpene vokser selvsagt opp inne i huset vårt, med kontinuerlig samvær med oss og våre besøkende. Vi kjører mye med valpene i bil, og de får oppleve nye steder og situasjoner nesten daglig. Ved siden av kontinuerlige observasjoner for å lære valpene å kjenne, vil de gjennomgå valpetest ved 7 uker der vi får mange svar på hvordan de vil bli som voksne. Valpene blir matchet med nye eiere ut utfra valpens egenskaper og personlighet - og utifra eiers erfaring, ønsket bruk og andre forutsetninger.

** We have Airedale puppies! 😍 **

On March 27 2024, we welcomed one male and four females from Nani (Wayosi Isidore Isolde) and Yoda (Yoda von der Laubenhaid). Read all about the litter here: https://wayosi.no/k-litter.

The puppies are soon four weeks old, and they have been well taken care of by their fantastic mother, Nani and are all thriving. The personalities are showing more and more, and it will be exciting to get to know the puppies in the next four weeks.

At the moment, all females are spoken for. The male already stands out as curious, playful, and bold, and if he continues to develop on this track, we might be looking for a suitable working-oriented home in Norway. Contact us at mona(a)wayosi.no if you want to know more.

** Airedale terrier puppies expected **

After a trip to Germany in January, where Nani (RL1 RL2 RL3 BH-VT Wayosi Isidore Isolde) and I travelled 3,500 kilometres by car and spent a total of 35 hours on a ferry, Nani has been confirmed pregnant with the lovely German male Yoda (BH IBGH1 IFH-V FH1 IFH2 IGP/FH IPO 3 SPr1 Ch.VDH Yoda von der Laubenhaid).

We are very much looking forward to seeing what this combination will give us. The puppies are expected to be born during week 13 and they will be ready to leave for their new homes during week 21.

We hope that this combination will give us some loyal and friendly family dogs with strong nerves, who are playful and active, and who, in addition, would make a great all-around working dog suitable for most dog sports and activities.

Big congrats to Eva and Penny (Oppigårdens Snöflinga, Sheriff x Lai) who’s been competing in Nosework (NO) again, and gained two new titles, S2-1 and NW2. Penny’s complete list of titles are now NW1, NW2, S1-E, S1-I, S1-U, S1-K, S2-1 😊

This is a sport that many Ridgebacks enjoys and master well, and a Ridgeback actually won the SM (Swedish championship) in Nosework in 2022 🤗

In the last weeks three of five dogs from our J-litter (Wayosi Chattahoochee ~ Ninja x Inanda Mellberg Athol Aramis By U ~ Aramis, 2022) have attended BPH (Behavior and Personality Assessment in Dogs / Beteende- och personlighets-beskrivning hund) in Sweden (https://www.skk.se/globalassets/dokument/uppfodning/broschyrer/bph-behavior-and-personality-assessment-a66.pdf).

Dingo, Navi and Majken have somewhat different personality and mentality traits, but common for them all is that they are easygoing kind dogs with great nerves. They show LESS fear and MORE curiosity than the average ridgeback. These are two traits that are very important for us, and something we strive for.

Dingo is a cool guy in every aspect, and there is not much that can upset him. His owner can also confirm that he is a delight to live with.

Navi is the playful and energetic one who enjoys people and scores with highest possible points for playfulness. She has loads of curiosity and handles scary things easily without remaining fear. Even though she is very energetic and playful, she is the sweetest and easiest dog to live with, with a superb on/off button and the ability to concentrate and focus. Lucky us who have this sweet girl in our close family. Navi will probably be the mother of our next Ridgeback-litter 😉.

Majken is a sweetheart who likes everyone, and her BPH shows her great social skills. She doesn’t really need a BPH to prove this, as she was selected as a blood donor due to her ability to stay calm no matter what. She is super brave and curious and solves all situations presented to her quickly and without remaining fear whatsoever.

Our Airedale terriers are mainly beloved family dogs living ordinary lives as a family pet. But some of them also train and compete in the Nordic Working Dog Trials (brukshundprøver, nordisk program).
