Selkirk Rex Breeder in Norway http://www.selkirkrex.no We have a small homebased cattery in Stavanger.

The Selkirk Rex is a new breed and our prefix is registered in TICA and FIFe under the prefix NO*Magnifi'miaow's.

When I started the process of getting my first Selkirk I was lucky enough to find a good mentor and she helped me so much getting to know the breed 14 years ago. The process was as following: she sent me some pictures of cats and I was to judge them based on the picture. Here is three pretty kitties ❤️

To all of you adorable people asking for a kitten ❤️ I hate breeding cats.

It’s as simple as that. The fact that I, Lena, a human, gets to decide the creation of life. And then decide where that cat is going to spend the rest of it’s days. Will they give the cat a good life? Do they plan on keeping it for 15-20 years? What if something happens, and the cat is not taken care of? As a breeder with a conscience this turned out to be too much for me.

I got this breed recognised so all of FIFe could see what a fantastic breed the Selkirk Rex is. I spent a fortune on this and I put my heart and my soul in getting the breed recognised.

I will use this page to discuss and show you what I had i mind when I wrote the standard. I had to compromise a LOT, but the Selkirk IS now a fully recognised breed in FIFe.
