Rough week, first Tingeling, now dear Tussetroll. He have had such a hard week.
First he removed two of his upper fangs as one broke off, the other one was about to break. Then after x-rays, his third bottom fang also needed to come out (his fourth bottom fang was already removed a couple of years ago). No more fangs - poor Tussetroll! Another tooth was removed as well.
Then we discovered a huge wound next to his bum. Actually the same spot he was attacked by a badger a few years back. We're been at the vet 3 times last week, and he has been under anesthesia 3 times in 5 days.
Hopefully he now feels better after his painful teeth are removed. And hopefully he will only be better from now on🙏 Going back to the vet for checking up the wound tomorrow❤️‍🩹🙏❤️ Eating my favorite food (cod) after anesthesia and no fangs sure isn't easy🐟

Today is "WORLD ANIMAL DAY" ❤️ Every day should be World Animal Day!❤️ Saved a life🐭 All lifes matters❤️ This is cat's instinct of course, but domestic cats don't kill for starvation.
Be kind to all animals. And please raise awareness and improve the welfare of all those poor souls without a voice❤️

Our sweetest, kindest friendliest, funniest and cutest silly Tingeling came into our lives 9 years ago. Little did we know back then that Scottish Folds have serious health issues. If I had discovered there was a significant health problem in Scottish Fold cats, I would certainly never have supported this breed. By mistake, I fell in love with the cuteness and did not do a research of this breed.
Scottish Folds have a genetic mutation that affects the development of cartilage. The most obvious outward manifestation of this is making the ear cartilage fold so the ears bend forward, giving the cat its characteristic appearance.
Unfortunately, the genetic that causes abnormality of the ear cartilage also causes severe abnormalities of the joint cartilage. This is known as Osteochondrodysplasia. These bone and cartilage abnormalities can lead to severe and painful arthritis.
I love my little sweetheart to death, and after veterinary check ups she has apparently been a healthy and happy cat, but lately I've discovered that she has pain in her joints as well as a stiff painful tail.

After a research I am sooo happy to discover a breakthrough treatment for feline osteoarthritis called Solensia.
Solensia is a once-monthly injectable monoclonal antibody therapy for the control of feline osteoarthritis (OA) pain, helping to improve their mobility, comfort and well-being.
Also great news that clinical studies have demonstrated that Solensia is safe, with a low incidence of side effects. Minimal involvement of the liver and kidneys.
Tingeling got her first injection this Friday at and I'm very excited and hopeful that this will help her feel much better. I already see an improvement and I'll keep you updated❤️🙏❤️
I love my dearest Tingeling to death and it breaks my heart to think about all the suffering amongst Scottish Folds as well as many other unhealthy breeds of both cats and dogs.
My biggest wish is that all unhealthy breeds would be banned and come to an end!❤🙏❤

Stopping by on to tell you that the badger is no longer digging tunnels and hanging out in our garden😜 Don't know quite why he stopped, as he stopped coming even before we tried out all your tips and tricks. We're all happy that we are safe again🙏 And thanks again for your advice and concern❤️

Thanks a lot for all your tips and advices how to stop the badger intrude our garden. Tried vinegar last night, but didn't work. I will try Citronella oil as many of you mentioned. The badger can not be relocated as they are extremely territorial and will fight other badgers in a new place. Meanwhile we will be cautious❤️ Feel sorry for the badger too, and wont harm him/her🦡💔

First of all I want to thank every single one of you, for your lovely comments and getting well wishes for Tussetroll❤️🙏❤️ It's overwhelming and really means a lot! It's so hard when our fur babies aren't well!💔 Check-up at the vet again today, his mouth is healing well. So does his wound (even though I still thought it looked very bad😩) A week ago, it was a big hole inside as well, as it was badly infected (he is on antibiotics now). It's healing from inside out, we'll see on the next vet visit if it will be stitched together. Poor Tussetroll, he is so brave. The vet couldn't believe how good he was. She removed the "sticthed on patch", therefor a body suit to make his plastered wound in place. Update on Tingeling's experience with Solensia. She is slowly improving her mobility. She jumpes a lot easier up to the couch as well as up to my bed💕 She also gets her zoomies more often, so I'm very hopeful that the new treatment is making her feel much better🙏 Thank you all for your kind words, for sharing your experiences which means so much to hear and making me even more optimistic 🙏❤️ One of the symptoms that most Scottish Folds have, is their stiff painful tail. As you can see in this video she want to go inside the little cave, but she can't bend her tail. Scary weeks🦡🙀 As cute as they are, we are not happy about this intruder. The badger keeps digging tunnels to get into our garden. Very scary as they are a big treath to Tussetroll and Tingeling as well as the hedgies. We have tried lots of tips trying to keep him/her out of our garden, but nothing works. Our poor hedgehogs are not longer here, either scared away or taken by the badger. So very sad! We have stopped the feeding of the poor hedgies, as they aren't around anymore.
