We for Stray Animals (Nepal)

We for Stray Animals (Nepal) Mission: Public Awareness about animal rights and inspire people for adoption. When we walk around the city of Kathmandu we encounter many street dogs.

Some of them look healthy and seem as if they have stepped in from another planet while some are in such miserable states that pity does not actually describe their state. Even though the metropolitan office tried so many times to control dogs, recently their numbers seem to be increasing. There are many kennel clubs in the city while their approach in controlling such genocidal state of street do

gs seems far from successful. Observing these dogs’ state, their health and scarcity of food, it is apparent that they miss food, shelter and good living conditions. Developed countries have special rules and regulations for pets which protects their life. Animal rights play a big role in maintaining their state in any society. It also ensures their living conditions yielding to which they tend to grow to their best sizes and in the healthiest of forms. While on the other hand, the city of Kathmandu observes many sick, malnutrition and suffering dogs even though it’s the capital of the country. It appears that no organization has taken any serious initiative to provide their little beings a proper home. Furthermore, it is also evident that when dogs become old and go out of fashion people do not hesitate to throw them out of their houses and let them wander in vanity. If such dogs are given good shelter, food and medicine, they will revive again to be man’s best friend once again. A good initiative is required and it should begin from our homes, realizing their pain and sufferings. To realize that they are also alive in this world and in our society should make us realize that they need space among us. They have been with us for centuries and they will be here with us just next to us till the end. Let’s fill our hearts with compassion for these animals and treat them right for being alive and take care of them as we take care of ourselves.
