Weekly update:We went to show this weekend and got some quite good placings

Mohawk-2nd in longcoat pets
Avlon-2nd in Smoothcoat pets
Astrid-2nd in rough coat pets

And Avlon got 2nd which is reserve in show out of all pets 🥰

We did extremely well considering all of these guys are babies but Avlon.Good to update the wall to.

Also we would like you all to meet our new purebred rex piggies Astrid and Ebony who are only a little 3 months old 🥰.

Weekly update:We have had a very interesting couple of weeks.For starters we have seen a couple pairs of piggies for nail trimming and baths.The next thing is that range of new products we have brought into use.Only the tunnels are pictured below but we have also brought in selective natural treats.And finally MEET OUR NEW ADDITIONS!.We said no more but we just couldn’t pass up these rescues(I have a soft spot for long hairs).So everybody meet Bieber and Mohawk.These to bring our total to 10 which is crazy but these guys will be indoor piggies.

Update:This weeks been kinda slow been focusing on upgrades around the place and first on the list was the piggie care station while it’s not finished as I ran out of space this will be used for everything piggie related.Avlon also thought she would stop by and say hello to everyone🙂.

Update:This week we have all our borders check out and go back to there loving families 🙂.This means we now have room for borders and also are open for treatments again.We have also had this parcel arrive this week things for our piggie first aid kit.

Also what would everyone think about a piggie raffle a fundraiser with 50% of money going to rescues and the rest going towards a outdoor shed and run 🙂.

This weeks update:This week has been absolutely crazy busy.We started off the week picking up some new fleece dens.Over the whole week we have had 3 lots of borders so 6 extra piggies over this week.And to end the week we will be competing in the Pet show this Saturday with 4 of our 8 pigs.

Please remember the services we have available and if your going away in May don’t forget to book your pigs in early 🐷.

Winter is fast approaching and with that comes our winter protocols that will be in place here.

-Extra/More hay will be provided

-Hutch’s will now be covered with a thick vintage blanket and tarp for weather protection 

-Fleece tunnels will now be switched out to fleece dens

-Snuggle safe heat pads will be added into the dens at night

Along with these all the hutch’s will be installed with wool liners.These protocols will not implemented at once due to weather permitting installation.But will all be in affect by early May.

Please remember the ideal temperature for Guinea pigs is 15-21 degrees anything hotter or colder may kill them.

Our new gorgeous guineas have arrived and boy did we waste no time in using them.Not only are there different ones for long,short and boar coats but they also have one for lice and creams and lotion for mites,feet,face and body.These will all be going in my pig first aid kit(which I’ll post later).And don’t fear all my boar piggies customers the boar shampoo is on its way 🙂.These are exported from the uk why they are quite expensive I only have the best for your piggy friends.

Permanent resident:Sybil and Avalon came to me In December of last year from another bordering place due to the fact they weren’t getting along with there herd.

Sybil is a cheeky little thing despite being blind in one eye it doesn’t stop her from anything.She can normally be found outside or waiting at the door for me to feed her especially in the morning.

Avalon is shy but a super sweet girl she’s friendly but will often not be seen outside when strangers are around.

We can’t wait to meet everyone and there piggies 🐷.

An update:Savy Cavy’s still remains open till the 8th April for all your needs after the horrible weather.We are very fortunate to have been left in a good position after the weather with only a couple hutch rain covers beat up.Please get in touch if you need 🙂.

Temporarily closed from 8th-15th April:Savy Cavy’s is taking a short holiday from the 8th April to 15th However do not fear we will be back in time for Easter and April school holidays get your bookings in early if your going away 😊.

Accomodation:Here at Savy Cavy’s we offer these hutch’s to our border’s.These hutch’s provide plenty of room for two pigs and can a upstairs and a downstairs for protection from the weather.They also provide multiple locks so that your pigs will be nice and secure at night.Inside the cages there is a snuggle tunnel and food and water bowl.Water bottles are provided downstairs to.

Meet our Erica although mum calls me little one.
She’s one of our 6 permanent residence here.She is one of our smallest here despite being 4 this year.Erica is shy at first but don’t be fooled she loves meeting new people and will always come to greet you especially if you have food🐷.

Erica’s story:Erica became a permanent resident in January of this year with her Natasha after bordering with us over the Christmas holidays and there owner no longer being able to keep them.

I can’t wait to meet you and your piggies 🐷 when they come visit us.
