It’s that time again! Our annual collection for the food bank 🎅🏻. We have a box in both clinics and you can drop off some goodies if you are able. Yummy treats, special Xmas goodies, wine or even kids presents are all appreciated and needed at this time of the year. Just a small thing we do each year to give back to our community. As staff we contribute and would love if you could too!

Halloween is tonight!! 🎃🎃🎃
Remember if your pet gets spooked or scared then please pop them into their crate, kennel, bed or in an area of the house where they won’t see any Halloween 🎃 activities so they feel safe and secure.

Please make sure you don’t leave lollies, wrappers or chocolates within reach of your dog, eating these can cause toxicity and would require an emergency vet visit!

Administer any calm medication to your pet in plenty of time before the festivity’s begin.

For cuteness factor here are Rudi, Elmo and Pops… a couple of staff dogs all dressed up!! 👻💀🎃

Archie came to visit us when he was feeling poorly. He was just not quite himself. Blood tests showed some anaemia so an ultrasound by our Ultrasound vet Kate showed a bleeding mass in his abdomen. Dr Yvonne removed the mass and the spleen that it was part of. She also placed a feeding tube so he could be fed by a tube until he was feeling better. Thankfully his tumour was benign.
Here he feeling 100%, with his very happy mum Grace.

Veterinary nurse and vet tech awareness week 7th -13th October.

Not all super hero’s wear capes! 🐶

Our veterinary nurses are the backbone of our practice and work tirelessly to provide the best animal care for your beloved pets. This can involve after hours nursing care, weekends, late nights on call and often filling in extra shifts to cover each other. 🙌🏻

Their skills involve but are not limited too anaesthesia, assisting in surgery, recovery, administration of medications,IV fluids, bandaging, taking blood, giving monthly injections, taking urine, running samples and assessing patient pain levels and comfort. They are also alongside you in sad and challenging times when your pet is extremely unwell and also at the end of your pets life❤️ which is challenging and sad but they handle with the utmost care and respect.

As well as being highly trained they are also extremely compassionate and advocate for your animal to make sure they are always safe, comfortable and well looked after.
Vet nurses also provide information to owners regarding health, diet, first aid, at home advice, worming, and grooming.

Our nurses At Remarkable Vets truly are the BEST of the BEST!
An amazing bunch of women that we all have the privilege of working with each day ❤️

So let’s show them some love this week!

Happy Veterinary Nurse appreciation week team ❤️❤️❤️
