Yesterday, our little adventurer, King Charles IV, lost the last of his nine lives. He was only nine months old. We saw him fall out of the feijoa tree, and the cabbage tree, and off the roof...and walk off like a boss! But yesterday he was hit by a car. Our hearts are broken. 💔

Rest in peace, Charlie. I know that you are with Jessie now, and she is taking care of you.

Charlie Update...
Charlie is now 12 weeks old. Had his first vaccination and health check, which he passed! Got his claws clipped while we were there. He was very dramatic about the whole thing. He loves snuggling when sleeping, but when awake, he loves zoomies and climbing. Shoulders and heads are the best! He had his first Temptations, they are now hidden in a drawer. New game, working out how to open a drawer! In a nutshell, he's the best!

I had a wonderful month away, it was everything I wished for. Thanks to Estelle, Daniel and Ollie for keeping the wheels turning.

You may have met this old fella when dropping off. He has been boarding here for just under a year. His owners have made the tough decision to say goodbye.

As an alternative, I'm desperately looking for a forever home for him. He is an old boy, 17 years. But in excellent health. He's quiet and affectionate. If you have room in your home and heart, please DM me asap. He's a Maine C**n.

Many of my clients would have met Jessie as she guarded our property (sometimes quite loudly!) or seen her crazy, nervous grin as you dropped off.

Sadly, Jessie passed away on Friday. We were lucky to be with her as a family to say goodbye. RIP, our beautiful girl. 💔🐶

Big shout out to Belmont Vets, especially Kate, who was both kind and professional.

😺 This is thought to be the oldest ever existing cat flap, in a 14th century door at Exeter Cathedral - UK!

A cat was paid a penny each week, to keep down the amount of rats and mice running amok in the north tower.

The cat flap was cut into the door below the astronomical clock, to allow the cat to carry out it's important duties.

😺 From 1305 to 1467, records of payments were entered in the Cathedral archives.

A penny a week was considered enough to buy food for the cat, to supplement it's heavy diet of rodents.
