I do love building trust with a pony.

Arthur is a repeat customer who gets clipped every 3 months or so due to his Cushings.

The 1st time I clipped him I needed to twitch him in order to do his whole head, the 2nd time I just twitched for his ears and today 3rd clip I did him without anything because he trusts me and knows that I’m not going to do anything bad ☺️

Does anyone know of any accommodation down in Queenstown for the middle of August (15-20th)? I’m hoping to get some much needed R&R time down there but trying to find somewhere to stay that’s not mega bucks is proving difficult.

I am absolutely loving my Equidry coat. I have just worn it out in the pouring rain over my pjs to rescue the horses into the stables.
I was snug, warm and perfectly dry 😃

Today I met the beautiful young lady Freya. She’s only a baby and is yet unbacked. She arrived to Lynda’s at the end of November’23 as a very nervous little girl. She’s goes off to school soon so Lynda wanted to see if we could quietly introduce her to clippers while I was there doing her big sister. Freya stood in the doorway while I clipped Ebony. She watched, she listened, I allowed her sniff me and my clippers whenever she wanted to. Yes I only used my trimmers to clip her but she got a full low trace done without any stress, worry or sedation. A very sweet mare that’s had a positive first experience. Pm me for any of your clipping needs.

Back to work on Wednesday everyone. First few days off since starting my little business. Can’t thank you all enough for the support you’ve shown me. Celebrating the 60th of the wonderful woman that first taught me to ride and encouraged my love of horses.
