Rainy days call for enrichment! When you canāt get in your daily dog walk, enrichment toys are essential in your home to keep your puppy entertained and out of trouble. Here are five enrichment staples in our home:
1. The Kong Feeding Toy. These fantastic, durable toys are great for prolonging your dogās meal or use as a treat by stuffing with mince, chicken, apple, peanut butter, you name it! For an extra challenge, pop it in the freezer to harden. These toys are also fantastic for teething puppies and teaching appropriate chewing behaviour to save your shoes some grief.
2. Lick Mats. We offer a fantastic range of lick mats that can cater to your aesthetic, durability, or food type needs. These mats are perfect for curing rainy day boredom and reducing stress as the action of licking releases dopamine and endorphins that make them feel relaxed, calm, and happy. Smear on some yoghurt, purƩe, xylitol-free peanut butter, raw food, etc. and for slower and more enjoyable feeding and enrichment, pop it in the freezer to set.
3. The Odin. A stylish yet super functional way to feed kibble or hard treats to your pup. Put treats into the flaps and let your dog toss and roll The Odin to get the treats out. You are also able to attach multiple Odin toys together to change the way it rolls and bounces, adding an extra element of challenge.
4. Snuffle mats. Also a perfect way to feed kibble or treats to your dog. Simply disperse the treats throughout the mat, hiding them under the fabric flaps and watch your pooch sniff and nudge the treats out.
5. Snuffle toys. Perfect for both regular play and engagement, the snuffle toys are a super functional addition to your petās toy box.
