Hello to all my new followers
Thank you for following along and welcome.
My name is Siobhán and I own
I’ve been working with horses for nearly 10 years, this includes wild horses and tame horses. I’ve helped work with horses for kids that are disabled and also helped disabled kids to ride. I’ve worked with horses that have been abused and helped them to overcome their fears. I’ve worked with horse from Oamaru to the North Island to help tame Wild Kaimanawa’s.
I’m currently covering from Ashburton to Amberley and working with horses everywhere In between. Using clicker training and natural horsemanship.
I work with most horses at liberty, this way it gives them a choice and they are more relaxed.

‼️Throw Back Thursday‼️
Following from last weeks throw back Thursday.
This photo is Alainn being mustered in from the Argo Valley in 2021 with her father, bother (full bother) and mother. Those two were the only ones that came out of the Argo valley all the other horses came out of zone 20 in that mustered.

As I mentioned in my last post, they thought Alainn’s bother was her mother but when they were mustered in as a team of four they checked and found out that her bother was in fact a male which made the other two the parents

I don’t know where her bother or parents are now but if you know I would love you to comment and say how they are doing.

Throw Back Thursday
Alainn as a baby in the wild with her brother when she was about a few weeks old. Taken in November.
When this photos was taken by (I think) they thought her brother was Alaina’s mother as no other horses was around when the photo was taken, but when they were mustered in, it turned out he was a male and by his age they worked out they are full siblings. Really sweet that they were so close together.
They were mustered in with their mother and father, see that next week for Throw Back Thursday.
Unfortunately I don’t know where her brother is now.

What could be a better way to end the year then with horses.
As I reflect back on the year I am grateful if so many things. 🥰
I got asked a while back if I could of changed anything what would it be? And I thought about this for a bit and I really do believe that anything we go through changes us in some way. So no I wouldn’t change anything that’s happened this year there’s definitely things I wouldn’t want to do or relive through again but I wouldn’t change it. 2022 tough me lot a hell of lot and I’m sure 2023 will have it challenges to but I look forward to overcoming them and enjoying the achievements. I’m not really one for say the that the next year is going to be the best year ever because we can’t see the future so we don’t know what the future holds but what I do know is what ever happens it’ll ever stop me❤️

Confidence Building
Want to ride or be around your horse with confidence again?

Lost your confidence around your horse? We'll work with you for 6 weeks to help you get your confidence back. One lesson in person every week for the 6 week period, plus a free online group session. This group session is designed so everyone can share their experiences and what's helped them. You can come to as many online sessions as you want and you can still come along even after your 6 weeks has past. Hey everyone. I have a spot still available to handle for the 2023 St James horses Muster. Which is happening on the 28th of January. I’m going to the auction myself so feel free to chat with me. ☺️
I’m open to take 2 females,
$150 a week
Rangiora (North Canterbury)
I Will train them to
Wear a head collar
lead
Tie up
Pick up all four feet
Float
And some basic groundwork (leading, stopping, turning and backing up ect)
And anything else you want.

On behalf of the KHH committee and wider KHH family, I would like to thank everyone who was able to join us for this years Kaimanawa Ranges Bus Tours.
What an amazing bunch of people to share three days in the ranges with and to say we all had a blast is an understatement. We never get tired of the excitement when our guests see their first band of horses and to see an average of 110 horses each day makes for a great day for all.

We enjoyed the questions, the comments and the feedback, and we appreciate the support on what is our biggest fundraising effort for the year.
Thanks to your support we can go into the next muster knowing there are new people interested in helping, some keen horse people who feel ready to give it a go with a horse of their own, and the funds to ensure we can go forward towards helping as many kaimanawa horses as may need our help in the future.

These daily tour days would not be possible without the incredible support of the NZ Army and the Department of Conservation team who gladly gave up their weekend to be able to help us ensure we had knowledgeable people around to answer questions and help our guests. Thanks to Hoff, Eric, Dean, Ian, Jo and Sarah.

Thanks also to the incredible team of volunteers who tirelessly dedicate a huge amount of their lives towards ensuring these amazing horses have the life and future they deserve. From the ones who came along to help over the weekend, right through to the ones that help pull the event together, I cannot thank you enough for the passion and dedication you shared with our guests. You are all amazing people!!

A shout out and thanks to some of our Stallion Challenge trainers and their helpers for coming out with us and being available to talk about your experiences with the horses and to help identify the horses and share their family histories.

The biggest thanks must go to the horses for once again bringing people together and for being in the right places at the right times to make for some incredible memories for us all.

Thanks again - to everyone! See you all next year when we offer our tours again.
