Here at Newlands the ponies have been snug as bugs in their winter woolies!

We said goodbye to the gorgeous Aspiring Anomaly (JHT Anatomy / NPE Divinity) as she heads off on new adventures in the far north! Wishing her lovely new owner all the best.

Meanwhile our “girls” bellies are rapidly growing! We cannot wait for some warmer weather and hopefully the safe arrival of the next generation...

Happy New Year everyone! The team at Newlands wish you and your equine friends all the best for the year ahead.

To kick start the year we have one available space for full care agistment.
Our facility’s include stables, bark yards, float parking, secure tack storage and a range of sized paddocks to suit your horses dietary/space requirements. Of course, our 20/60 outdoor arena with mirrors and lights, round yard, hacking track and jump paddock are available to use.

$100 per week for full care

Grandad, Whiteway Warrior AKA Louie is the wise elder of the yard. Imported from AUS with and impressive career as an advanced dressage/Show horse horse he is ideal to teach the young ones the ropes. Louie was an invaluable schoolmaster for many people. Now retired from ridden world, Louie spends his days sharing his secrets with Aspiring Anomaly and anyone else who will listen!

Our unicorn, pink papered Hanoverian TE PEKA ABOUT TIME. (By Anamour out of a Genius/TB mare) Flo is as impressive in person as she is on paper. She is hands down one of the sweetest we have had the pleasure of knowing.

Show pony perfect, Golden Shelter Bee A Gymstar, By Gymnastic Star out an imported Arabian warmblood (Rangeview Landstrom X Warrawee Glory Bee) Gymstar caught our eye with her stunning looks, temperament and movement.

We can’t wait to see what our beautiful girls produce in the years to come!

Newlands Agistment is a professionally run, purpose built equestrian property in West Melton Christchurch New Zealand. The team at Newlands offer a range of 5 star agistment options for your equine.
Newlands Cottage is available to rent (via previous arrangement) for short term stays. Ideal for those traveling with equines!
Newlands is also the home of Aspiring sport horses. We aim to breed and produce small number of quality sport horses who have the ability to be successful at the highest levels of our sport.
