Now that the last champ show has wrapped up for the year it’s time to start saving dates for next year’s shows! There’s a lot of Rally to look forward to in the New Year!
Below is a link to the Dog Obedience website Central Region calendar for 2025 (Northern and Southern calendars are also available if you’re interested in doing a road trip 😂). Some key dates to note:
Feilding is running a Triple Rally Show on the 8-9 March, alongside our Obedience show - please lock this date into your calendar now, it is going to be a big weekend for the club, and the more members available the easier it is for everyone to help out and still run their dogs 🥰
We are looking at adding Rally to our Ribbon Trial on Waitangi Day (a Thursday this year) - still finalising details but probably Novice A and B judged, then setting up an Advanced course (and maybe Encore or Excellent) as a training ring. We also run Obedience and Agility classes at this ribbon trial, so lots going on! Will be a good warm up to ease back into things after a summer off 🙂
Fantastic to see a lot of other clubs growing their Rally shows. Wairarapa is confirmed to be running a triple next year, and although they’re not on the calendar I have been told that Tararua and North Taranaki are also running triples 🎉🎉
So that’s a massive 21 shows on offer across 8 clubs within the region between February and May 😮. No excuses not to be out there having a go 😂😂
