Well we are knocking on the November door now! So what’s happening...

18/19 Otago Southland mounted games (please note this is only in the dog trail paddock including all parking)

19 Nov Gore Pony Club InterSchools Showjumping (details on there page)

25/26 Nov Welsh Pony Show ( in hunter paddock)

Just with there being a couple shows so far, a couple things to note...
* if any damage wether done by your horse or damaged when arrived please let us know stable/yard number
* no horse manure around trees only in signed areas please
* be wise with parking, hopefully we head into a dry summer 😉 now but spring has been a nightmare!!

Little bit of a negative post that needs to be addressed...
💩 💩 💩
There are PLENTY of Horse manure area conveniently located around arena, and yard areas, this does not mean that you throw your poopies over the back of sawdust piles or by sheds/offices or into trees. We have neighbors around arena and also want to keep our grounds top notch so this is just not on. Also still finding some dog waste around yuk!!
Think we can all agree our caretaker does a great job and our facilities amd grounds look fabulous... lets keep it that way!!!

Now entries for these events are Open! You’ll need to head to Main Events to enter Labour wkend Showjumping and to Evo Events to enter Dressage
Please note also that the work involved in set up for dressage tournaments and Showjumping tournys is huge and normally happen on the Thurs/Friday before shows. And altho often arena is not closed at this time, I ask that casual users respect the equipment out and it is not to be utilised. As i have said also in previous post that i do try to keep showjumps out in between events

Hi 🙋‍♀️ all! Nice to see alittle sunshine to dry things out, especially for there PC camp!!
Please note as of 01 November the casual use arena fee is to rise to $15 per horse there. Family membership for the year are available at $138 still. Arena is monitored, so make sure you do pay!

Well let’s hope the weather starts to settle, the trailers are rolling out for Southland Showjumping on Saturday, so arena closed then. Also will be closed from Thursday to Sunday next week for Pony Club camp ⛺️!!!

So after a couple weekends of showjumping, we now have the dressage coming up this weekend. So the arena is closed Saturday and Sunday for there event 🙂

Just letting people know that dressage Southland has left one arena up at the northern end of arena
The short sides are pulled to the side so Dawn can groom inside arena
You are welcome to put the short sides up to use but please take down before you leave

Hi 🙋‍♀️, I’ll be bringing my trailer to arena at 12.15 tomorrow to put away jumps for the weekend. So Dressage Southland has arena booked Sunday for there event so arena is closed that day.
I appreciate a helping hand with the jumps when they need to be put away, just so it makes me want to put them back out 😉

Hi 🙋‍♀️ all !!! It’s been abit quiet on the page front, must have been hibernating the winter 😬So welcome back to another season just around the corner!!!
So we will start with membership... they are up for a renewal now. If you have been a member before you should have just received an email. For those new to the arena, the memberships run for a year at a cost of $138. I’ll put a photo up of form. If you are a casual user, charges are at this stage still $10 per horse there.
I will get down today, if i get my trailer back and put some jumps out, a couple rules about these...
* check the striding in doubles, I have horses and ponies so I alter it!
* please move the jumps sideways 1m or so if you have have made loads of tracks so it can be groomed
* if you put trotting poles/ ground rails out, when you are finished place them back up by jumps, again for grooming
* if you damage/break anything let me know, some of gear is older and it does happen

There are a few things coming up starting from next month! I’ll put posts up when dressage is on as will need a hand moving jumps, which I appreciate as it means jumps do get to stay out 😉
Lastly i think 🤔 for now, remember no need to message me to book for individual use, the arena is large so we just need to respect each other there. Please tidy up after yourselves and yourfurry friends, there are loads of manure areas and tools. Please shut gates and pay!!!
There is also work still continuing on down there.

Well what exciting things have we got going on here?!?!?
Irrigation 😃!!!!!
Work is well underway to have our surface irrigated for next season which will be such a wonderful asset to the arena, especially after our beautiful summer 🌞
On a side note, the arena is not currently closed but please be very mindful of the workers and that work is getting done there at the moment and with this last spat of weather things are wet and muddy in places where ground and drives have had to be dug up.

The set up for showjumping this weekend commences tonight at 5.30 and then arena will be closed from lunchtime tomorrow as they set up for what looks a fabulous weekend ☀️ showjumping some coloured sticks!!!

Feb 4 - GORE A&P SHOW!!! And it looks to be a scorcher with 30 degrees predicted 🥵

So the arena has been super busy over the last few weekends!!! Interschools Showjumping were there on Sunday having a fabulous time enjoying competing for there school teams ...

So what have we got on from now till Xmas...
Well there is ...

Welsh show (not on arena but on grass) on this coming Sunday

Dressage Southland will hold there tournament on the 3rd and 4th of December

Showjumping Southland will hold there tournament on the 10th and 11th of December

Now is a wee reminder that stables/ yards be left manure and hay free along with the area around your float. There are loads of places to put manure ect and we have provided wheelbarrows and rakes. Also is super helpful for us if you can pick up round warmup areas as well. The grounds are beautiful and should be kept tidy and is such a great facility doesn’t take much for us to all do our bit! A nice big load of sawdust has been dropped off as well! At competition please have a zoom round arena in breaks so manure also doesn’t get trampled into surface.

🙋‍♀️ Hi all, so nice to see some ☀️!!

So the season will be beginning soon, just a reminder for membership which are available now.
As the arena starts to get busier just a reminder you don’t need to book it for personal use just be courteous of each other, its a large space and remember to pay fees, and keep gates shut!!
I will try and keep this page updated on events happening and when it is booked!
So with that in mind...
Gore Pony Club kicks off the season with a Showjumping Training day Saturday 13 August so arena will be booked then for that and for more details on that day please head over to there fb page!!
Sunday 21 August then Dressage Southland will host a day, head over to the fb for details!!

Also they have been busy starting the new stables!! They are requiring a bit of a hand for the next stage so have attached info below and help with be very much appreciated!!!

Hi 🙋‍♀️ everyone! As from tomorrow (01 July 2022) our yearly subs will be due. I’ve included a picture of last years form for the contact information to renew your sub or request a new membership. We do also now require your vehicle, float or truck details just so our caretaker is aware of users. We are currently working on a code lock for gates, meaning members will have access to one gate and will be given code when membership paid. Casual user will be given another gate, and we are just working thru the details of that and how it will work, and I’ll post here when sorted and applied. Unfortunately we have had people using the arena casually and not paying 😬
Also there are lots of preseason events coming up and I’ll post as soon as!

The group has been busy making the grounds super safe for us by installing new gates around the place ! Looks fantastic! Just remember if you open a gate...you shut it aye 😉
Also caretaker has noticed alot of 💩 left on arena so let’s be tidy!

Hello all! Just have had quite a few enquires lately regarding membership ect so have put some information below. The arena is quieter at moment with events slowing down. I’ll post on here thruout the season events that are happening and arena is unavailable. I compete myself so will try my best to keep it updated!

If you’re wanting to start a membership effectively from now and not wait till 01 July 2022 you can pm me and there is just an additional $11.50 onto you annual sub.

Because you don’t book the arena for casual use please be respectful of others using it too. I try to keep jumps up most of the time but always down the lower south end, so that others can be at the other end training, schooling ect if more using the arena. I also do appreciate those who do use the jumps that when i post up that they need to be put away for events that you chip in to give me a hand. Also that if there is any damage to jumps, yards and property that you do pm me to let me know. There has been some yards recently left untidy for casual use so they need to be left better and there are plenty of shovels, wheelbarrows and manure sign around, On the otherhand arena has been left very tidy for a long time now so thanks 😊

Please ensure you do pay for casual use as there are now steps in process to track this.

So ... the weather is not looking to favourable for the weekend, so the show to be held this weekend has been POSTPONED till next weekend 28/29 May. The Saturday showing on the 28th will have a new start time of 1pm and the Sunday remains the same. Some late entries will be accepted over this weekend 😊

So that’s a competition wrap before Xmas now! Now there are a few things happening over Xmas 🎄 NY break ... the rest of the treadlite rubber has arrived and will be put on, there are a few Showjumping days to come up, and another wee training day in the pipelines.
