We will on a daily basis interact with the dogs by ensuring that they are entertained and exercised – your dog will not be left alone and will always have a trainer present. Dogs will be divided into small and large and they are with their handler constantly. This provides balance to the dog making them enjoy the facility more and makes it more like home. We do not believe that your dog should be left alone at Metro Paws. Daily routines involve moving the dogs from their designated area to the large park like gym where they can behave like dogs and socialize and then they will also have free open access to the outdoor area and play jump and run freely. Extensive and robust procedures will be in place ensuring a Doggy Day Care that runs effectively and smoothly. We pride ourselves in presenting a clean, healthy and nurturing environment, which makes for a happy Doggy and a happier home life for all. At Metro Paws we are Family and as family we care for your pet by ensuring that they are safe and sound at all times. We will cradle them with LOVE and they will trust us like we trust each other and through this approach we are all FAMILY. Our staff are trained in animal behavior, doggy first aid. Before we can place your doggy with others, we will carry out a full behavioral assessment to ensure the safety of your precious pet, as well as others.

Birthday Boy Blu!! 🎉 Blu is an absolute sweetie and today he’s turning 10 🔟 Blu was one of my first friends when I started working here so I may have some extra love for him 🥰 He loves a good butt rub, a cheeky treat, his own special spot at naptime, and most importantly, after one special treat, he now strongly believes that he is a little dog in the afternoons so he can catch up with all of his little mates! Happy birthday Blu and thanks for the treats!

Sally turned 10!! Yesterday we had a lovely bubbly treat filled birthday party to Sally-brate Sally hitting double digits 🔟 We love our Sally girl who’s a real OG Metro Gal, and has been rehomed by one of our other OG parents so she can keep coming to daycare! Sally is never far away from a treat or the hose and starts her days with the gentlest little woo woos around 💕🎉

It’s sunscreen season! The sun’s getting hot out here so just a reminder to keep your pooches safe from the UV rays!

Dogs with thin fur on their snoots exposing pink skin (especially white dogs) are at risk of being harmed by the sun but the good news is that dog sunscreen exists to help out. Remember to pop it on in the morning on the way to daycare (we can do the afternoon shift) on sunny days. Here are some of our sun safe kids demonstrating how easy (and cool) wearing sunscreen is 😎☀️
