Do you help manage volunteers for your organization?
Do you volunteer for events?
We would love to speak to you!

We understand how precious volunteers are to events and we would love to make the experience better for the volunteers and those who organize them.

We are running a couple of short zoom meetings Tuesday 16th July at 1pm and 7pm for anyone interested. Just pop us a message and we will send you the link. If you can't make those but wish to contribute again pop me a message and we can arrange a time that suits.

So where does the money go?

Below is a breakdown of the costs for Puhinui 2023. Given the course costs it's easy to see why eventing's future as an Olympic sport is under review.

(Note, due to some late adjustments our $1600 profit has now become a $400 loss.)

Would you like your horseโ€™s record verified? EvoEvents has updated its horse profiles to show whether the breeding of your horse has been verified by ESNZ or not. Go into MY ACCOUNT on EvoEvents and click on the DETAIL button for your horseโ€™s name. If it shows BREEDING NOT VERIFIED, simply email us a copy of the stud book papers / passport / breed society papers and we will update their profile, ensuring that the correct breed is recorded (as per the paperwork) and that the sire / dam / dam sire and breeder are all recorded correctly in our system. We will also ensure it is updated on the FEI database if needed. Our email address is [email protected] or if you need help phone us at 04-4998994 x 1 for Memberships.
We are working diligently behind the scenes along with the NZ Hanoverian Society and the NZ Warmblood Association to upgrade the quality of the pedigree information stored on the HorseReg database. This is part of an overall push to support breeders and breeding in New Zealand from grass roots to international level.

We are running 16 online learning sessions during August and we have hit the halfway mark!

We are impressed with the number of volunteers that have given up their time in the evenings to attend. There are quite a few that have made every session so far! This shows just how much time these often unsung volunteers put into the sport.

Next time you are a bit stressed, feeling frustrated or things might not be going your way, try to remember the hours that all the amazing volunteers are spending to try and run a great show and keep everyone happy.

Always feel free to pop your head into the office and say thanks or offer your time to help, sometimes that's just the thing to put a smile on someone's face.

Our thoughts are with everyone affected by Cyclone Gabrielle.

We know many people want to help the equine community so we have set up a donations page with Show Jumping Auckland to allow you to make a donation. There is an urgent need for veterinary care and feed for our equine friends. Show Jumping Auckland has kindly kicked this off with a $1000 donation. They are managing these donations and aim to pass on the first donation to the teams working to help tonight.

Thanks everyone in advance for their support, I know those affected will really appreciate it.

You can also donate directly to their bank account 01-0403-0123881-000 Ref Cyclone.

How to help, go to EvoEvents and there is an event called Cyclone Gabrielle - Donations, click the enter button. Agree to disclosure then click next. Then select how much you would like to donate (If you want to donate $20 select 2 $10 donations) and then checkout and pay via PoliPay or Credit Card.

We are still going ahead, pack your wet weather gear!
Our grounds can handle a lot of water, & they drain away to the river very freely, & we have used the best ground for this purpose. We have made our rings large & WIDE, with lots of room to move the fences. We are encouraging people to make the most of practice rounds on Friday, if you can, so we can give you more space & time, & then move the fences ready for competition if needed. We are doing all we can to bring you a great show, especially after so many cancellations so far this season. Please help us to help you, & support us as we may need to move the fences often. Please share this post to spread the word.

To say that sport at the top level comes down to the smallest of margins seems an understatement for the Eventing at WEG. 4 riders across three phases and 2nd, 3rd and 4th separated by less than 1 point. Congratulations Team NZ and individually Tim Price on Bronze medals. A job well done.

Congratulations Monica Spencer and good luck for the coming days.

Congratulations Monica Spencer and good luck for the coming days.

When the trip to your first World Championships involves a travel time of over 50 hours and several days in the trailer, you want to make good on your shot to make an impact. Monica
