Here’s a great opportunity for any of my dogs that have a few aches & pains, or anyone that’s interested in getting their pups checked out!

Mr Thief is about to be 3years old and has always been a VERY active little dude, so he’ll be getting a check up to make sure everything is moving how it should be.

Happy two years of walks to Axel!

When Axel first started with me, he was very dog reactive, territorial, scared of cars, had poor leash skills, poor recall and mostly just had very low confidence. The first couple of times I tried to pick him up for a walk, he wanted to eat me through the gate, now I’m greeted with the biggest bum wiggles and he can’t get out the gate fast enough, ready for his walks!

After a few weeks of walks, I built a solid relationship with him and created good foundations & expectations for what I wanted from him on his walks. His true personality started coming out & I saw how fun this dog could be! I decided he’d be a good dog to e-collar train, so I did, and it changed everything for him!

Axel is now one of my most reliable dogs. I can take him off leash anywhere knowing he’ll stay close & come back when I call, he minds his own business around other dogs, he recalls off pūkekos (which he had a history of chasing), he can walk through a busy town in a nice loose leash heel & he’s just such a confident dog now. He’s fun, goofy, loves playing with toys & loves a big cuddle. He’s a dog that really makes the most out of his walks, making sure he gets real grubby when we go out 😂

So happy to have watched this good boy grow over the last two years!

Welcome to new girl, Nala!

Teenager Nala has joined walks to work on her basic obedience & work through her excitement when she spots other dogs. Once all the training is in place, she’ll get to join some other dogs on their walks and have lots of fun. Cant wait to get to know this happy girl!

Thank you to all my clients who are allowing me to take some walks off to spend next week with him. Our schedule will be a bit messy the next few months so exact walking times may change slightly, but anytning excessive and i’ll speak to you directly.

GROUP WALKS ARE COMING!

I’ve been talking about this forever, but we’re finally getting everything together.

We’re a little while off starting since the new van needs some work first, including custom fitted crates, but there will be more information to come about it all soon.

I’ll likely be doing an entire restructure to fit everyone in, so if any clients were thinking about changing days or adding extra walks to your week, OR if you’d be keen on your dog joining group walks, now is a good time to let me know.

Don’t be surprised if you see me & Thief cruising around & picking up your dogs in a little white van from now on!

Today we welcomed Jerry!

Jerry’s starting walks with me just to give him something fun to do while his parents are working. A bit nervous today but he’s got lots of potential. Can’t wait to watch him come out of his shell!

Thief stealing hearts from day one!

My personal dog, Thief, was lucky enough to get a photoshoot with the talented Photography By Emma Steel !

I always struggle taking photos of my dark dog in dark places, but Emma absolutely nailed it and got the shots I’d always dreamed of.

I’d highly recommend anyone interested in getting some professional photos of your pets!

ADOPT ME

Mila is looking for her next home!
2yo spayed female staffy mix

I absolutely adore Mila. She’s super fun to take for walks, very toy motivated, a silly & cuddly girl. She would suit an active home who can meet her daily physical & mental needs.

Mila is not dog friendly and has some fear based issues that she’s currently working through, and will benefit from ongoing training. However, in the time she’s been walking with me, she’s improved significantly. She walks great on leash & her recall is 9/10 (we’re still working around high distractions).

Mila’s current owners love her to bits, so are willing to continue to pay for 6months of dog walking with me if she finds a new home in or around Hawera. I’m also offering free training if she’s rehomed anywhere in Taranaki.
