Mothers day is nearly here :-) I hope you are all excited and looking forward to it, weather you are a Mum, a Dad, a child, a lover, a moggy or other! This is such a great day to be together with the one and only person that can bind the family together :-)

A year in review of our stunning Roses.

Quite a feat with all the floods, storms and anything else that was thrown our way :-) Looking forward to a happy and abundant year for us next year.
Thank you to all our our wonderful supporters the past few years. Its certainly been a ride but one where we have grown so much (sorry for the pun :-) ) that will arm us to do even better in the future. We look forward to setting up our new site so keep an eye out. Because of Disease threatening our Rose's they need to be picked straight away to stop the spread further. Disease has already taken roses overnight, that's how quickly it works. Our Story

Kumeu Flower Farm was born in 2015 when we took over the old Rose Farm in Station Road, Kumeu. Previously Nasty Chemicals had been used in the green house to grow and sell the Roses. We came into the picture and things started to change immediately. When we walked into the Green House my son instantly had an Asthma attack and from that moment we began cleaning out the green house and implemented our own spray program that did not include Nasty Chemicals. We are happy to say he can now safely go into the green house with no problems at all. We are now #Bee-Friendly, using No Nasty chemicals that kill bees, but you also know you’re not breathing in Nasty carcinogenic chemicals in your home or spreading them around your children. The roses had previously been grown for mass production, which meant force feeding them, and pushing them to their limit all year round, to be sold at the Flower Auctions. The Flower Barn has also changed the way we look after our ladies. We don't force grow them, we treat them with tender loving care, we carefully hand pick and grade them, respecting every flower nature happily gives us. This results in a much stronger flower, larger buds, longer and stronger stems; their natural perfume coming back and stronger in some cases. We can boast longer lasting roses in vases, for up to three weeks when they are cared for correctly. We can cater for #ValentinesDay #MothersDay or any other event you need. We have a specialist in-house #bridal #florist, plus we can design and make your perfect gown for your engagement, special event or wedding day.
