Tova was back from maternity leave today. She seemed quite relieved to have time out from the demands of her gorgeous little girls. She enjoyed a luxurious swim in the pond and some quality time being chased by Walter. She initiated the chasing and it took Walter a while to acquiesce, as he was in possession of a “treasured” pine cone and didn’t want to lose focus on it. Jack, Springer Spaniel, got another adventure in while his whanau are on holiday. He had fun with the other dogs, and tried his best to get Bella to chase him. Chilli loved the swimming almost as much as he loves riding shotgun, head out the window, barking like it’s banned at midnight.

Willow’s crew had lots of fun at the pond fetching pine cones. Buster had just returned from the Groomers, so was looking very smart. He gave the new “do” a thorough testing in the pond. Bowie was not tempted to go in past his knees. When he swims for the first time, champagne corks will be flying.

Ted’s team had great fun swimming in the pond. It was very warm weather so the cool water was refreshing. The water was nice and cool, I know this because the dogs insist on including me in the experience by shaking off right beside me. Every time! They don’t miss a spot, sneakily getting behind me to spray the back of my legs too. At that point I remind myself that some people are stuck working in offices, looking out the window, hoping the weather stays fine and that they can enjoy it after work.

Bear, has graduated from Gussie’s Gang of small dogs, and passed his initiation into The Dude’s 👏👏😁. He had a fabulous time with the boys today. Dexter was very kind and took him under his wing. I suspect he thought Bear was going to be his mate, standing together in knee deep water, watching the others swim. It started out exactly like that, until all of a sudden, Bear splashed out some doggy paddle and launched himself out into the pond. I put Hugo on a lead, as we were about to pass a disgustingly mucky and stinky pond. Hugo loves to wallow in this type of nightmare, so I was preventing a certain disaster. Lo and behold out of the filth comes Arlo!😮😩. Back to the clean pond for a wash up. Loki may have been in there too but very hard to tell with his pitch black coat. Those boys keep me on my toes.

Jack, a Springer Spaniel, came out for an adventure with Murphy and his crew this morning. Jack looks very similar to Geri, so had to double check at drop off. Would hate to drop the wrong dog off 😂😂. Everyone was in great spirits, all excited to be out with their friends and enjoying a gorgeous morning adventuring.

Gussies Gang, were very excited to be in the van, and on their way to their adventure today. The excitement levels did not drop once their paws 🐾 hit the ground. There were some closely fought chase games. Unfortunately there were no treats today. Some opportunistic pooch scoffed the whole bag. I had left them on the front seat for a moment, came back to an empty bag and no-one owning up to the devilish deed.

The rain brought out the delicious aromas that dogs love. Gussies gang, minus their captain, had great fun sniffing their way through the bush walk today. Bear and Molly had a few sprint races, with Frida joining in to show how fast she can go. Real fast! Whiskey had a go at zooming down the “death slide” and lived to tell the tale.

Oscar and Freddie looked festive in their bandannas today. Oscar was rocking the green. The last adventure of the year for Chilli and his crew. Scooter managed to get a dead possum roll in, seconds from getting back in the van to go home 😩. He enjoyed the shower to rectify the stench, so a win/win for Scooter.

Riley took the job of riding shotgun very seriously on the way to his adventure. He might have been planning his afternoon, as he managed to flush out a large possum. Rudely awakened from its slumber by Riley, the possum quickly scrambled up the nearest tree. Riley’s partner in hunting, Georgie, was there to help him catch it. While we waited for them to realise the possum wasn’t coming down, we took a treat break. Riley was prepared to camp out the night if necessary. He had to go on the lead, otherwise we would still be there. He has a great nose for hunting. 🥰 Lulu looked adorable with her festive Christmas bandanna.

Lizzie was on the lead as her suture scar is still mending. That didn’t stop her from getting into a stick tussle with her buddy Ralph. Finn is enjoying being back with the lads. An adventure at the river for Walter and his friends today. Walter is a fantastic swimmer, who loves retrieving sticks or cones. He got a little carried away today with how far out he went. Bella and Molly were worried he wasn’t coming back. Molly swam for the first time today. There is hope for Bowie and Dexter 😂.

Willow’s crew had to take some rest breaks in the shade from the hot sun. The frenzied running and cavorting had taken its toll as well. Never a dull moment with this lot. I was delighted to drop Scooter off home, looking as clean and fragrant, as he was when I picked him up. It’s not easy to find a track without mud puddles, ponds or dead possums. Scooter always finds them. Ritchie is always two steps behind him, so double trouble. 😂

Lots of chase games for the Spice Girls on the way to the beach today. Lucy had a great time chasing Pepper, who is always keen for a round of chase. Willow and Meadow are involved in some kind of test match chase. There have been a lot of innings and not many breaks for tea.
