Penelope was a hit with the other Friday Goodsorts, as she got into the van, with heaps of treats to share with the crew. Charlie put her on his best friend list. Any dog bringing treats is top dog status in Charlie’s world. She also brought a stack of tennis balls 🎾, for little dogs too. We were two down, five minutes into our walk, with some vigorous jaw action shredding them. The last adventure of the year for this crew, so they made the most of it. The grass is getting too high in places for some of the petite pooches, so they stuck to the worn path. For the rest, they had great fun chasing each other through the grass. The sun came out and jackets had to come off. The pond was a welcomed watering hole and some took the opportunity to swim a couple of laps. Big snooze fest on the way home 🥰.

A wet morning for the Lab Lad’s on their adventure. No sweat for Buddy who took himself off to one of his favourite ponds. We picked him up on the way back. Apparently he had a blast. Cleared the pond of 50 logs and took a pine cone as a souvenir of his hard work. Fleur was wise to don her woollen Christmas outfit, as it was a bit chilly. Jed came out with the lads and had a great time with Ralph. They played chase. Neither are natural born athletes but they were rocking some hilarious moves. Like watching two tractors on a slalom course 😂.

The Staffi’s and the Doodles teamed up for a fun time together. They almost were dwarfed by the long grass. No problem for the little muscle machines though. Flynn was away getting a haircut for the summer season. Rosie missed her chase buddy, as Flynn is a champion at that event. The Doodle cuzzies weren’t interested, they like to win and once they saw the speed of Rosie, defaulted from the match.

Willow and her crew were without their pace setter, Scooter. Poor fella has hurt his paw and had to stand down today. Without Scooter leading the way into stinky ponds, we were set for an enjoyable stroll. Or so I thought. Ritchie seized the opportunity to take the lead, and lead with the same quest for stinky stuff as Scooter. Straight into the pond I felt sure we would not be visiting. And taking Lizzie with him! Lizzie who is staying with me at the moment 😩😩😩. Ritchie and Lizzie both went via the dog wash on the way home 😁. The non-stinkers, were very smug sitting in the van watching Ritchie protest at getting into the dog wash. And then refusing to get out because it was lovely and warm and more importantly - water! He was kind enough to let them share in the experience, with a couple of vigorous shake offs, that managed to make it look like rain had pelted the inside of the windscreen. Classic Ritchie 🥰.

Ted’s team had so much fun together on their afternoon adventure. They were hard to keep up with, as they were racing and chasing at full throttle. They did calm down for a spot of sniffing and exploring. That didn’t last long before they were off again, zipping through the trees and bounding through the long grass. Laughing all the way 😁. Lenny, the newest recruit, leading the hijinks.

Jed and the girls had heaps of fun at Fosbender Park today. They loved that the track ran parallel with the river, plenty of opportunities for them to take a quick dip. Some access tracks were a bit muddy near the water’s edge 😩. Never mind we just made sure to finish up at the ‘clean’ water hole.

The Hairy Maclary crew endured some light rain today. Actually they appeared to enjoy it. They love ripping through wet grass and racing along the track. Chica looked like she had been swimming by the end of it 😂. Poppy who hid in the grass after a fright last week, was back in action. She stayed at the back with Stan and Lily, who wouldn’t know how to frighten anyone. 🥰 Nelson went up front with Roy and the pair of them led the crew. Wet dogs and warm weather = steamy windows on the ride home.

The Lab Lad’s hit the pond this morning. I was hoping to get some photos of the dogs diving into the pond, so we could put some entries in the competition. There were a couple of other dog crews at the pond. Dogs racing each other to get balls and pine cones, but none of them diving in 🤔😲. On the way back to the van, Moose excused himself for a couple of minutes.He slipped into the trees and came back with yet another possum. Legend

Tasked with retrieving the possums Moose caught this morning, Gussie’s gang were “on it”. Lilley (finally spelling her name correctly) navigated and was first to find the possums. Lilley likes nothing better than to roll in something stinky. Fortunately these were fresh kill and didn’t smell. Into the sack they went. The dogs were very excited to discover, one of the places, one of Moose’s possums was hiding. They clambered over branches and dried foliage to inspect the site of the kill. Living the life of a hunter vicariously
