The Mad Lads or Dudes, depending on energy levels, burned off a few calories for me today. Fast paced adventuring is their default mode. Charlie found a ridiculously large stick. He was not going to concede that it was far too heavy and cumbersome to carry. Of course he imagined that a prize like that would be wanted by all the other dogs. He stealthily lingered at the back of the pack in case they tried to steal it. It was no easy task for him, manoeuvring between trees on the track and whipping past potential robbers. Quite a hard stick to, I know this having been whacked around the shins about 50 times as he whipped past me. As we neared the van, he put it down to give the muscles in his jaw a rest. In like a rocket went Arlo, and pinched it. Charlie couldnāt believe it. He looked at me, as if to say āPenalty, foul play, blow your whistle and get my stick back, and no treats for Arloā!! Arlo, quickly and wisely ascertained that the stick was indeed ridiculously big and heavy. He dropped it and Charlie gleefully reclaimed his treasure.
