Hi everyone
Just a heads up I will have limited bookings - once book is closed always try me but I’ll have other things on the schedule. My new area will be Riverton for work and travel times restricts me . I can usually get away for a night or two or make it work for those I am a regular for . My normal job has to come first and I’m looking forward to phasing out of house sits eventually - as much as I love them ! Cheers

Page has been quiet so I’ll give a little update . Was at a place called Dingo in Australia where I did some stationhand work and then managed to get myself a super job in Perth so have joined Team Bond harness racing until I come home . Quite opposite jobs but what I was hoping to be able to do while im here - pleased !
Return date for mid September so can take on some sits some time after I get back into the normal swing of Southern life …! I’m surprised that Perth is not too hot and it can deliver a fairly good dose of rain on the regular so won’t take too long to adjust back to chilly Southland I don’t think !

Hi everyone
Have been slack with page updates but have been kept pretty busy ticking over with house sits and animal care so big thanks for having me for those that ask and although I can’t always say yes I really do love the places I get to !
Looking ahead I will have to carefully plan what I take on for April / May due to peak work demands (on farm for LIC)
And I can not book in anyone from 2nd week in May to September at this stage as I’m planning on heading back to Australia for work 🤠
I understand you may have to find a new person for those of you that have me regularly - we all love a winter escape !
I do hope I can come back when I can take bookings again

Hi everyone
Spring is being abit mean at the moment but days are getting longer and it has warmed up 🥳 things will dry out quick once sun is back and grass will take off like a rocket (just what horse people do not want 🥹)
I have started a new job for L.I.C helping on dairy farms and will be shifting to Winton township next month. I am excited about this as I love country living and a change and if all goes well I can have my beloved horse friend with me at home.
I will try my best to continue to help my current Invercargill-based crew and if I can take on some other places I totally will .
So please message and ask and if I can I will be there 👍🏼
New years is my time away so I will be unavailable then sorry.

Back in February I was working my horse at 8.30pm !
Spring 🌼 is just around the corner to bring some warmth and longer days. I love seeing everything come back to life after a cold , dark Winter- bring on some sunshine ☀️

Hey everyone
I am making a return home and can take bookings from mid July. At this stage I’m not booking too far ahead as I will be looking for work and it may happen that I make a shift out of Southland .
Have been baking in the hot sun chasing cattle so it will be a cold change coming back to the South but I’m ready to rug up and get back to the mud so get in touch if I can help out .

Thoughts are with everyone that has been misplaced , cold , hungry and lost everything including their animals in far North’s cyclone . I have shared a missing horse post that is ever growing with some already seen deceased and some found deceased. This is a sad reality - livestock and dead stock. And some owner error contributes . And I hope we can all pick up the pieces and learn that we can’t fight the weather or whatever else a natural disaster will throw at us . Losing a horse vet who was saving lives as a volunteer firefighter also hit home pretty hard. So I hope we can help and find kindness and positivity in this terrible piece of time ♥️

Animal Evacuation for those followers
Please search what animals you have and what a good plan for them is in an emergency. There are well-made emergency plans for animals and livestock I hope in future they will be easily available and taught alongside human emergency plans.
Always prepare for weather and natural disasters and make yourself familiar with your animal’s plans as things can turn very quickly often with little time to act.
Information and planning is vital before it’s too late

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT 📣
⏭️Introduction of non-refundable deposits ⏮️
I did not want to go down this track at all but a few times now I have had bookings made (sometimes for a significant amount of time) only to be cancelled sometimes when it is too close to fill that now available space .
If you have been a person to cancel on me in the past you will be asked to pay a deposit to secure your place and if you choose to cancel and replace me I will not return your deposit . (Of course I am considerate in situations beyond your control and emergencies ect)
I have many people ask me for my time and I am thrilled with that but I am also not here to be canceled at short notice as I am running a small business as well as juggling sometimes a lot of other work.

🥹 In the coming months of this year I will probably suspend animal care and sits for everyone and temporarily close the page as I look to head away 🥹
But this is not confirmed yet .

I really love making friends with your creatures (sometimes it takes work but eventually they like me 😂) and you have all been so kind !
I am lucky to have some steady bookings over January, February and March there are mostly only spaces left for day checks / feeding. Please get in touch anyway and I can let you know if I’m available overnight .
Currently enjoying some rare free time to recharge. The sun is out and I am so excited for 2023

Hey everyone
Been awhile since I’ve posted on here Facebook keeps changing things up on me and I have to figure out how to use things again ! It’s Summer (well Summer-ish in Southland) and everyone’s getting social and Christmas is coming in quick . Nice to have not so many bookings for December but am quite full for January/February and into March . These are busy months for me so I’ll have to stay very organised 😅 please be patient if I take a few days to get back to you I will get some book work in and catch up with where I have spaces.
