🐾 Safety first… but still plenty of fun! 🌿💛

We’re taking extra precautions to help stop the spread of K9 cough, which means our walks are mostly on-leash for now — lots of sniffing, exploring new areas, and enjoying the fresh air together. 🐕✨

All our daycare dogs are fully vaccinated, but as many of you know, the vaccine doesn’t completely stop K9 cough — it just helps reduce the risk and keeps symptoms much milder. 💉💪

We know everyone loves those action shots of the dogs running free, but for now we’re staying away from dog parks and areas where lots of dogs gather — just to keep everyone safe and healthy. 💛

So, while only our trusted recall superstars are off-lead at the moment, everyone’s still having a wonderful time out and about. The zoomies and big play sessions happen safely back at daycare! 🐶💨

Anna & Blair: the Story of how Rocky & Co. came to be.

We began dog sitting in 2014 when we lived in Redwood, Christchurch. Our idea was to offer a pet-sitting service with a “family experience”, as in the dogs that we looked after would stay with us inside the house (no cages or kennels) and would go on daily walks with me.

First, it was called Anna & Rocky Pet Care because we only had Rocky then. As the number of furry clients grew, it became a dream for both Blair and I to have a larger property where we could look after more dogs. In 2015, we purchased our current property in Clarkville, Kaiapoi. We also adopted Wookie in the end of 2015 and Jack in January 2017. Therefore, the name of the business had to change to something that would include all our dogs and their new friends. Rocky & Co. Pet Care was born!

We now have a large grassed area for the dogs to play and run around during the day.

And at night time, the dogs sleep inside the house in our lounge on any of our several dog beds and couches.
