We wrapped up our 10-day holiday with nothing less than with style – Milford Sound. 🌿🗻

To me, it’s probably the most beautiful place on Earth. Sure, I haven’t been everywhere yet, but I’d bet this gem is in the world’s top 10! 💚

Tomorrow we head back to Christchurch. I’ve missed my husband and my fur-babies so much, and I can’t wait to snuggle up with them again (and sleep in my own bed 🛏️🐾).

My sis still has a week left in NZ, and I’m so excited to share my home, my pets, and our wonderful fur-guests when daycare reopens on Monday. I have to admit… I miss those fluffy little faces already! 🐶💞

On Sunday, we had a lovely get-together, and I just want to take a moment to thank my incredible team for everything they’ve been — through the good times and the challenging ones.

A special thanks goes to Anisse, who finished with us on Friday to begin her English course, a step that’s so important for her to stay here in NZ. This isn’t a goodbye, just a "see you later", as we know we’ll cross paths again.

I’m also so grateful to Sophia and Matias, who recently joined us and have already proven what a wonderful addition they are to our team.

And of course, a very big thank you to my right hand, Alex. For 6 years he’s stood by me through the highs and lows. We’ve had our ups and downs and our differences, but we both know that’s part of the journey — and I couldn’t do this without him.

It was lovely to meet Sophia’s partner and to have my husband join in as well. Sharing a relaxed lunch with this crew reminded me once again how lucky I am to have such dedicated, kind people around me.

Here’s to the future and to many more moments like this together ❤️

Anna & Blair: the Story of how Rocky & Co. came to be.

We began dog sitting in 2014 when we lived in Redwood, Christchurch. Our idea was to offer a pet-sitting service with a “family experience”, as in the dogs that we looked after would stay with us inside the house (no cages or kennels) and would go on daily walks with me.

First, it was called Anna & Rocky Pet Care because we only had Rocky then. As the number of furry clients grew, it became a dream for both Blair and I to have a larger property where we could look after more dogs. In 2015, we purchased our current property in Clarkville, Kaiapoi. We also adopted Wookie in the end of 2015 and Jack in January 2017. Therefore, the name of the business had to change to something that would include all our dogs and their new friends. Rocky & Co. Pet Care was born!

We now have a large grassed area for the dogs to play and run around during the day.

And at night time, the dogs sleep inside the house in our lounge on any of our several dog beds and couches.
