🌟 New Section 💚 Super Stars 🌟

This section is aimed at our younger pony riders, those who aren’t ready for traditional Lead Rein, First Year Ridden or Pleasure Pony classes.

Super Star Lead Rein is for riders 10 years or under who are on the lead. There is also Super Stars First Year Ridden for riders 12 years & under who aren’t confident cantering with others. Classes range from Best Combination to Best Trick.

This is a fun ring to encourage our younger lower kids to come out & have a go. If you are interested in sponsoring this section, give us a message as we would love to offer a Supreme Garland for this as well!

Good news - our THREE musical classes are back!

Sad news - to finish the evening at a reasonable time, the Fashion Stakes are taking a hiatus this year.

BUT we have some fun sashes for the Musicals. Go the extra mile, dress up, be creative & have a smile, you never know what else is in our prize stash!

We have some big plans for the 2024 Show! But we need you, our fantastic competitors, thoughts on something.

For the past three years we have tried to recreate a Show with a variety of sections & a fun weekend away. This has meant a lower class entry, no prize money but we have tried to have a variety of rosettes, sashes & prizes across the weekend.

BUT what do you want this season? We want your ideas so comment below or PM us.

💛 higher entry with prize money for classes
💚 higher entry with prize money for Champion

Morning Session (classrom style - no equine required)

💚 Rider wear & saddlery, how to do this without a whole new kit!
💛 RAS Showing & Pleasure Society rules. Including Height Certs, HOY qualification, ring etiquette & workouts. Bring along any question for our experts

Afternoon Session
🌟 Saddle up (no dress up required) and come have a go at some mock classes. Help those nerves and have a go at a workout, trot on the circle with others and see what makes a ring tick.

Sore wet feet, sun-burn with a side wind redness but totally worth it!

These weekends don’t happen without our crew & we are so appreciative of every one of them:
💛 we have very supportive group of Sponsors who provided some fantastic prizes! We are privileged to hand out such stunning prizes & we know they love seeing a photo of you with your prize.
💚 our fantastic, fun & friendly Judges. They all came in with little notice & were such a pleasure to host.
💛 we have an amazing group of stewards who run our rings. They had everything from a huge jumping line up to donkeys & had it running smoothly to time.
💚 the team at Solway Showgrounds Masterton A & P Association. From catering support, maintaining the surface to moving jumps for us. The grounds looked stunning & a credit to the team.
💛 Anne from Main-Events.com who is our Show Secretary, Office Baby-sitter & chief checker. She makes our days so much easier!
💚 And finally, Terry & Dan. These two put up with show chat a lot of the year but are there every year. There are too many jobs done by them behind the scenes to name but a lot wouldn’t happen without them. Dan even had to share his Birthday with the Show this year!!

To one & every competitor who entered a ring this weekend, THANK YOU!! No matter if you won a wide, ticked off a personal goal or came & enjoyed your horse, this Show couldn’t happen without your support.
