Very sorry to my lovely clients as I am off sick today from grooming at CareVets Napier -
The Reception staff will be in touch as soon as they open at 8 am to let you know and cancel/postpone bookings as I don’t have access to a computer to see who is booked in today.

Hi everyone !

Many people think winter isn’t an important time for grooming -
It definitely is!

Avoid shave offs by regular grooming.
Don’t push grooms out over winter because today on one of our coldest days that is exactly what is happening 😞

At this stage I have one appointment left in December

And maybe a hand full remaining for this year. If you cancel - there is no guarantee I can fit you back in.

I whip my hair back and forth 😂😂💕💕

Miss Toffee came in for a complete over haul this week of a few knots (quite a few 🫣🙈) but never fear I worked my magic and with her amaizng nature and tolerance she left beautiful with not a knot to be seen and very happy owners.

Dematting isn’t for every dog. Many will not tolerate it causing stress on the dog and pain!
I simply will not do this and will go over this will you in consult before the groom takes place.
I’m against putting dogs through unnecessary pain - remember hair grows back.
Also another thing to remember it’s not the groomers fault when a dog walks in covered in knots so please respect us when we explain what is best for your dog! We are the professions 💜💜

No shows and late cancellations.

Currently I am turning away potentially good clients because I’m fully booked.

This week there has been 3 no shows!! There is no excuse especially when as a courtesy all clients get a reminder text the day before.

Late cancellations will be charged 50% of your groom cost which will be added to your account at the clinic.

No shows will not be rebooked.

Hello To all my lovely clients! Isn’t it absolutely the most Glorious day in Hawkes bay today! So nice and warm I can almost see summer!
With that in mind I must remind everyone Xmas grooms are nearly fully booked. How is 2022 nearly over?!
Once my appointments are full that is it. No ‘squeezing’ in.
October is fully booked and November has about 7 spaces left from memory!
I’m encouraging all my clients to pre book 3 grooms in advance now to avoid missing out.

Well we are over half way through 2022… where has that time gone!
Salon is busier than ever but I’m still taking on new clients.

Days are getting warmer and now it’s even daylight at 5.30 pm!
Making those late afternoon walks more enjoyable! But also dogs coats are loosening up so perfect time to book for that deshed!

Hard to get a photo of this absolute cutie! As she kept wagging her little tail and wanting to investigate the shop!
She gets a trim as per owner request… she’s an elderly wee Pom and this helps her greatly.

Yes I’m aware of the risks with double coats - but she has had it done her whole life and she’s pretty happy and healthy to me! 🥰🥰

Regular grooming is SO important!
Also nail trims in between. This poor wee girl had nails curled round and embedded into her pads. Needless to say she walked out with a big smile on her face.
Matting hurts as it grows - pulling against the skin.
Do your pooche a favour and book in today. ❤️❤️
