Managers meeting notes
Thanks again to volunteers for yesterday
Riders be mindful that if you are sitting watching, hop off your horses and give their backs a break.
Arena 1 is Cambridge sand and arena 2 is now land corp for showjumping.
Showhunter arena 1 closest to landcrip, arena 2 closest to covered yards and arena 3 is same as arena 3 for yesterday
Stewards can't answer questions re bits and gear.
Showhunter - No bell, no jump numbers, no flags, leave Arena at a walk. Learn plan off the gate. No walking courses.
Same course for every ring. Riders going to arena 1 and 2, showhunter go around back of sj courses down CTR finish line and into arenas from dressage end.
Call which jump you are wanting in the practice arena - makes it safer. Pass left to left in the warm up arena.

From Manager meeting:
Massive thanks to all the volunteers yesterday. Fabulous job and much appreciated.
Arena eventing was delayed yesterday, because there were horse tracks through the combinations and the course designer had to change the course. 🤬
570 burgers were served in 1.5 hrs. Please thank Dunstan and Taupo Equestrian Supplies who sponsored rider meals.
Nobody should be on the x- country at all now, not even walking.
Showjumping today - courses open for walking now Back numbers must be worn. No time for course walks between classes.
200 riders through each ring so please be there early, and don't muck about if you have a jump off. Retire if you are having issues.
Ring 2 A2 is a one round event, timed. Fastest clear time wins - Cambridge sand arena
Ring 1 A5 instant jump off. You will hear a bell if you are clear and that will send you to the jump off
Ring 3 is yesterdays dressage warm up.
Practice fences are up to 10 cm higher than in the ring. Riders shout vertical or oxer on approach to practice fences.
Thank judges by saluting as you leave the ring - this is etiquette.
Start and finish times are approximate. Events can only start 15 mins early.

Awesome results for day 2 girls. Congratulations Charlotte and Chloe on class wins. Hope those if you who fell are recovering. I have ibuprofen and Panadol if that is any good to you. Build a burger starts at 5, prize giving at 5.30 and quiz at 6.

Arena eventing courses open 8 am. Riders wear tidy clothes and back numbers. If no course plans at the gate, then please don't enter the arena.
80 cm Hacks have been brought forward to 12.30
Dressage - riders must wear gloves, and check whip length.
Horses must wear halters in the pens at all times, with their ID tags
Burger payments to the office. Gluten free bbq will be prepped completely separately. Please pay for supporter burgers this am. Burgers start at 5 pm.
Quiz + dressage - riders must have hair tied back
Salt - your horses are working hard. Please remember to add salt to their diet and electrolytes if you have them. I have a bucket of salt if you need any. Electrolytes can be sourced in the indoor.
Save your horse's energy - retirement can be a wise option if things are not going well
Warm area etiquette - please be mindful of other riders, pedestrians keep to the outside.
Showjumping, arena eventing warm up - please enter warm up area approx 3 before you. Allow 3 mins per round. There are huge numbers to get through so please arrive approx. 30 mins before to allow for scratchings.
Trot up area for the CTR is now the cantering space for dressage warmup
All riding is in Draw order according to EvoEvents.
Remember ALL falls must be cleared by the medic before you remount.
80-95 warm up area is combined. Please only jump the height you are entered in.
3 stops = elimination. If this happens, please leave the arena.

Fantastic results for day 1 girls. Tomorrow will be a busy day for us all so I will pop up post here of notices from the managers meeting at 7 am.
Supporters, please stop by the office tomorrow am and pay for your burger orders. The teams eat free

Hobby horse practice at yard 99 approx 4.15. Some riders finishing volunteer duties. Our hearts go out to the rider whose horse has been euthanized after an accident on the CTR course.

Please all check that you have your year level correct in EvoEvents. There are prizes for each year level - although yr 11-13 are combined.
Jemma is out in the ctr course now and looks on track to arrive in 15-20 mins. Puketapu are approx 6 mins behind her. Margaux and I are stationed by the vet ring

CTR
Jemma will ride out at 11.45. optimum time is 1 hr and 10 mins. All riders not competing around the 12.15-1.15 mark to meet at yard 99 and bring water and sponges over to help J.emma strap her horse when she comes in.
Puketapu are riding out at 11.51 and should finish around the same time as Jemma, so four ponies needing strapping means all hands on deck please

Morning riders. Good luck for those riding today.
Reminders from the Organisers - please like the post to show you have read them😜
Please wear school uniform tops at all times.
Back numbers must be worn anytime you are on your horse.
Welfare is paramount, and ESNZ staff will be moving around all the time so please ask for help if you need it - rider or horse.
Farrier will be here morning and evening. his number is in the Welcome letter we have all been emailed twice.
Vets are on call.
The office has ph numbers for hay suppliers if you run out.
Paramedics are here. If you fall at any time you must be cleared before you can remount. If you are able to walk, then please take yourself to the paramedic. If you are injured and not able to walk, then stay where you are until medical help arrives .
