A bit of a cat week this week. 4 cats done.
Sometimes people ask why I wash and dru them?
The Washing and conditioning lifts the undercoat out and keeps the skin so much healthier, have a look at the videos, you can see the undercoat coming out, then the smooth finish, cats do get used to being bathed and dried, I use earmuff hoods for them to help with the noise. This girl turned out so silky in the end. 💕🤩 beautifully behaved girl.

Why is winter/wet weather grooming important for your dog?

I groomed this cute girl, for a Client of Pettite Paws Day care and boarding.
I do a pick up and drop off Service, for them, which can be a bath and tidy up, or full groom, before they go home after a stay, or if just doing day care I can arrange that for during the day they are there.

The unfortunate truth of owning and running a business. Running a business is really hard. What they don’t tell you is that it can cause severe stress and anxiety, and drains you mentally to the point of depression in even the most laid-back people. People will talk about you, compare you to others, use you, they will view you as a service and not a person anymore. People will expect discounts and people will value you and your hard work less than a big chain store. You have to worry about if you forget to email/message someone back, are they going to think it was on purpose? Did you disappoint them? Will they hold that against you? When in reality you just can’t get to everyone’s messages and emails. Starting up and running a successful business puts incredible strain on personal lives and relationships, many of which fail because there is just often no work life balance. You need to be the director, the worker, the admin, the marketing team, the accountant, the cleaner..... All whilst being a parent, a provider, family support, friend, spouse... There’s a reason you don’t see many people succeed in small businesses after 5-10 years. If they are successful they are overwhelmed. It takes a toll. It’s freaking exhausting. Especially the past couple of years when so much has been out of our control. Here’s a small reminder that we are just normal people with hectic lives. Be kind, be patient, support small businesses…….and hopefully more of us will stick around!

Had a couple pussy cats in today, this pretty girl is so chatty, shes a lovely girl, although I'm pretty sure she isn't whispering I love you for giving me a bath. 😂🤣😃

Now Winter is over, I am having quite a few grooms coming in that have been to long between grroms , I have done a video, to show you guys, even though the dog looks fluffy on top, unless it is on a regular bath and comb out groom schedule, this shows how matted they get and why I have to shave them so short. This owner knew it had to come off short, but some are surprised, their "Fluffy" dog can't be just combed out.

With Winter being a bit quiet for the grooming, some of my other services kicked in this weekend 😃 Pet / housesitting, and bit yucky and wet, relief milking.
