It is a busy week for us inspecting yearlings at Karaka ahead of the sale that starts on Sunday but it is also one of Andrew Lacy’s biggest weeks as he and the team at Boys Get Paid gear up for the biggest punting syndicate of the year for Karaka Millions night! He headed into the city to join the podcast last night so take a look and if you’re not already involved head over to the TAB and join in what is a very fun night, the pool is currently 700k and it will likely double before race 1 kicks off. They do an incredible job bringing new people into the industry and make being at the races fun. Keep an eye on our page from Sunday onwards as we hope to purchase a few new stable stars and would love to have you involved as the stakes are better than ever and if we do our part as an industry it should only get better. It is a great time to be involved with plenty of new initiatives!!

A well deserved win by our ever consistent Flower of Wanaka yesterday taking out the Open 1400m after a super ride by Jess Allen. This mare has found a real purple patch of form, and whilst yesterday’s win being only her 3rd, she has a valuable stakes win and other black type placings to boot! Fingers crossed we can continue to add to the list of her achievements over the next few months before she heads to the broodmare paddock being in foal to Satono Aladdin 🥇 Congrats to Gene Tsoi who bred and races this super little mare.

A busy end of the year for the team with a couple of nice placings to round 2023 off. A great 🥉 on the 27th @ New Plymouth by Ruby Seeker and a gutsy 🥈 for Opawa Jack today @ Hastings after 6 weeks between runs.

It has been a good season so far and I want to take the time to thank everyone who has played their part and I am already looking forward to what CBR can achieve in 2024! 🥂

Big bold Sergio and The Postman Chris Dell dominate in a super win at Otaki over 1200m today! Fresh up after nearly 8 months he took up the lead and proved too tough in a tight finish sticking his head out to take the victory. A huge congratulations to his connections, he is certainly a very special boy 🥂 💕

And not to be out done, our princess of the team Chantilly Lace racked up another black type placing after a super 3rd in the Grp 3 1600m for 3yos ⭐️

First win for the new season ticked off with Hamish today at Waverley! Aided by a gun ride by one of our hard working track work riders Adam Scott this one was well deserved by the rider, the horse and his patient owners!! Well done to everyone 🥇🏇

He might’ve been supposed to run on Friday but Sergio didn’t mind the extra few days wait with his impressive victory today!!

The old war horse claims his 12th win with a gun ride by apprentice Kelsey Hannan taking him to the front and just kept kicking!

Sergio was our solo runner today at Hastings and made his first win look pretty impressive!! Well done to connections!

Good day out at the trials for the team today even if the course pukeko bird tries to take your jockey out on the home turn 😲 but never fear no Pukeko’s we’re hurt in the making of this video….seen walking off at the end!

And Bellacontte goes bang 💥

Really proud of Kingfisher Lad yesterday after his brave 3rd against a nice 3yo field and he was only just beaten by horses that had already won races - he’s certainly very brave and tries very hard, plenty more fun in store with this one!

The team had a great day out at the Foxton trials today and looking forward to seeing all these improve from the outing as well 💪🏻 🐎 💨

Spring Tide racking up the 10th win for the team this season and hopefully a bit more fire power to unleash before the end of the season yet 🔥

Spring Tide took top honours for the team at Trentham today after a gutsy performance with 61.5kgs to run down the leader after a very well timed ride by Sarah McNab! Earlier in the day Speed Call and Adam Scott nearly pulled one out of the bag running a very brave 2nd! Plenty more excitement to come for the team in Winter I think, congrats to all the connections 🥇🥈🏆

Great day today with our 2yo filly Bellacontte running a super 3rd in the Castletown Stakes for owner Ben Kwok and then tonight our stable fav Lord Bouzeron who’s now under the care of Michael Hickmott in Adelaide streaks clear for an impressive win!! Both coincidentally sires by Burgundy!

Great run by Bellacontte for 3rd in the Listed Castletown Stakes today, she made up a lot of ground late and the future looks bright for her ⭐️

Lava Rock breaks maidens today under a super ride by Kate Hercock! Well done to his connections I’m sure there’s plenty more to come!!
