Due to an unfortunate change in circumstances, Margaret Park is looking for an new full timer to join the small team.
We are a professional equine rehabilitation and conditioning centre, where we are looking after different types of horses from boxrest through to freshen ups. We have high standards and the welfare of the horses is our priority.
Our yard is purpose built and we try hard to provide a pleasant and happy work place.
Ideally we are looking for a mature and driven personality, who enjoys caring for horses while working on their own as well as in a team. Due to the nature of this position, experience working with professional horses is absolutely essential. This includes performing all daily chores comfortably and safely, such as mucking out, feeding, rugging, washing, grooming, leading to and from paddocks, working with a horse walker. The job also includes exercising horses on our treadmills (full training will be provided), or sometimes perform other exercises from the ground. This is not a riding position.

What we expect from you Be experienced and confident around horses, including young thoroughbreds, c**ts and stallions Be reliable and honest Have a good work ethic Be able to work in a team and by yourself Have a willingness to learn Have a good eye for detail and be thorough with all tasks Be physically fit for the job and don’t mind working outdoors all year round Have a can-do- attitude and common sense Have a passion for horses and their wellbeing

What you can expect from us Friendly workplace and environment Understanding and honest leadership Hourly wage payed out weekly and on time Support and training wherever necessary for the job Permanent and stable work Opportunity to learn and grow with the position

We are located between Cambridge and Hamilton.
Hours for the job are 7am to 4pm, Monday to Saturday. (Less hours for Saturday currently and on a fortnightly basis, subject to change depending on other factors but never more)

What a year it has been (again) in so many ways. Thank you to all the owners, trainers, vets, farriers and simply everyone who has worked with us und trusted us with their horses! We absolutely love the industry we work in and are very grateful for your support.

The job includes all general stable duties, mucking out, feeding, filling hays, bringing horses in and out of paddocks and on and off the horse walker, grooming and washing off horses, as well as exercising horses on the treadmills and following any rehab programs.
Experience with general stable duties is essential and you are required to have a keen eye for detail when it comes to checking horses!

Our yard is modern and purpose built, with a small team and a friendly work environment.

Hours for the job are 7am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, and 7am to around 10.30am Saturdays (fortnightly during off season)
