In other news Bliss and Spritzee were mated last week so the wait is on to see if that was successful, likely given his good semen quality at testing for export. 🤞🏾 the countdown is on.

Lots of exciting things in the mix for this year for the Kovac Koolies, this week we had Kovac Ryding Shotgun (Spook) and Toolalla Misty Terrain (Spritz) semen collected, frozen and started it’s trip to be used on some phenomenal sporting Koolie ladies in the USA. Can’t wait to see these litters in fruition and excell in their prospective sports across North America.

Great first day at Whangarei show for the koolies. Chilli 2nd Starters , Zapdos 1st elementary A , Snafu 1st Novice , Reef 2nd JB and Rayne 1st Jumpers A.
Zapdos did Incredible today at her first competition I couldn’t be prouder, very successful weaves, lovely contacts and great enthusiasm. Bliss also had all very lovely runs and made all her weaves just a few rails here and there.

Some great shots of some of the gang from Moments Of Fame Photography what I love about these photos is by chance all the Koolies are non Merle, Koolies are all too often sought after solely for colour when they should be desired for their incredible merit. Love my solid Koolies 💕.

Just a few photos from the weekend , our young not so much pups anymore got their first agility measure on Saturday so they are ready to start competing in the next couple of weeks. Sharon and Andrea will be starting with Spook and Tahnee first up at EBOP show , followed by Jo and Bazinga and Me and Zapdos at Whangarei start of December.
Snafu , Glitch and Bliss were also competing this weekend and had several stunning runs with some errors, first time weaving in the ring continues to be a unicorn for me and Bliss but I’ll live in hope and super happy with our JB runs. Honorary Kovac Koolie Rayne owned by Sharon was the standout for the weekend obtaining her ADXA GOLD and Winning a Tricky Intermediate and a 2nd in Intermediate yesterday.

Reef also had a great weekend having fun , getting loads of love and doing some great agility in between. Sharon kindly let me run him for his two runs on Saturday where he did some cool stuff but the cream on top was his clear Starters run today with Sharon and ending up with 2nd place.

Corinne and Chilli had a successful weekend this weekend at Akarana and Manukau Champ shows. Corinne is a die hard Obedience person but Chilli has drawn her into Agility and she seems to be catching the bug. Love watching this team grow, they managed a 2nd in Novice , 3rd in Starters and 3rd in Jumpers C.

Just showing off Mr Glitch also from Bliss x Coast 2020 litter, this boy has more name spaghetti than I can remember from all of his achievements so far, competing regularly in Agility and advanced level scentwork , aswell as helping his owner on the farm a natural with the bulls. Glitch has been a showstopper from day dot being the only black pup in the litter he could have been placed 10x over but I’m so happy with the perfect fit he has been with Gaye. 💕

No success for me and Bliss this year at DAC , but couldn’t be prouder of Andrea and Snafu achieving a 2nd place of 109 dogs in one of her Novice runs against some stiff competition earning her a place in the finals where they had a lovely almost run with a wobble in the weaves. Snafu is from our Bliss X Coast litter in 2020 and is already competing in the top level of Jumpers in JA.

With NZDAC finally over for the year I am in the process of planning our next litter for early 2024.
This is a long awaited litter with a combination of some very cool lines I cannot wait to see what is produced.

Bliss is our main working dog on our sheep and beef farm, I don’t know what I would do without her help everyday, she is an incredible allrounder mustering large mobs off the hills to working closely in the yards. She is ideal being quiet on sheep and bark and added pressure on cattle. She lives for agility in her spare time and has a never say die attitude for work, combined with a gentle easy going temperament that makes her easy to live with and take anywhere.

Spritz/Fitz is lines I have coveted for years prior to getting my first Koolie, he has siblings /relatives all over the world exceeding in sports /stockwork, I am over the moon I was given the opportunity to bring him over from Aus and add him to my lines.
Fitz has a great drive for working and training, great natural ability on stock he shines in the yards where he can let loose. He has an invaluable temperament where he lives for affection , is incredibly loyal and overly social. A very easy dog to have around.

Pups from this litter I am expecting to be predominantly suited to agility homes as both parents are extremely driven, so if you are looking for your next agility dog and haven’t spoken to me get in contact. The litter will have both smooth and long coated puppies , and all will be black based (Fitz does not carry brown or tan points)
Fitz is a small boy at around 14kgs so I am expecting smaller 500 height offspring and perhaps some smaller suprises in there.
