At Walks and Stays we provide one on one walks with your dog or dogs. WALKS. Our walks are designed as a one-on-one walk with your dog/s. PET SITTING. HOME VISITS.

We do not walk in groups, so our attention is only on your dog/s. We will pick up your dog and take on a 30 min or 1 hour walk depending on your and their needs. We will safely drop your dog back and provide you with details of where we walked and photos of your dog/s enjoying themselves. This can be a one off or occasional service or a weekly walk/s depending on the needs of your animal. If you f

eel that this could be the service for you, please fill out the form below and we will make contact. From there we will provide more in-depth information and answer any questions that you might have. Prices start from $25 for a 30 min walk for one dog and $29 for a 1 hour walk for one dog. Prices will depend on time and number of dogs and possibly distance travelled. At this stage we service Stoke, Richmond, Enner Glynn and Tahunanui. If you are outside those areas, please still complete the form as we may still consider it. Currently we are not taking on any new clients for pet sitting. We are still happy for you to put in the application or email us and we can give you more information or check if we are able to do it. Pet sitting services are as follows. Trudi will stay in your house to take care of your animal/s, this includes walking, feeding, playtime, hanging out etc. Happy to do other jobs such as watering the garden, getting in the mail, and putting out rubbish bins. Pet sitting can be for most animals, cats, dogs, small animals, stock, birds etc. Prices will depend on how many animals and what needs doing. We are able to come to your home to check on your pets throughout the day. We offer a check in service, where we can feed, play, hang out, whatever your pet requires. Check ins have a minimum of 30 mins and up to 1 hour. PICK UP AND DROP OFF. We offer this service to those who have busy days or maybe do not have transport. We can pick up your pet and drop off at the vets or groomers, we can then pick up later in the day and drop back home. We are unable to take you with your pet, if this is required you will need to call a taxi service. A bit about us. We are a husband-and-wife team with many years' experience, including having our own dogs, cats, rabbits, fish, ducks, horse, sheep and pet rats. Trudi has over 6 years experience working in an animal shelter as an animal attendant/Team leader and over 10 years fostering. Trudi has her Level 3 certificate in Animal care and has a good knowledge of animal behaviour. Russell has 2 years experience in animal welfare working for an animal shelter and over 10 years fostering animals. He has been involved with Animal Evac in recent years and has been walking dogs for around 3 years now. We are happy to provide references and police checks if required. Today's pupper for the shelter dog K9 Spa was incredibly sweet. Although we can't share photos due to privacy reasons, the experience was memorable for us all. Initially, we spent time with her and some toys, but she showed little interest in the toys, so we transitioned to the pool area to help her become comfortable with the water. As expected, she adored the treats along the way, however seemed a little hesitant about getting in the pool, so instead we opted to shower her with affection, treats, and a K9 massage. After all, it's about ensuring each dog has a joyful experience, and we strive to meet their unique needs. She then hopped onto the outdoor couch with us, and Alita treated her to a body massage. She relished it to the point of falling asleep and snoring, so adorable. She appeared so serene and content that none of us had the heart to disturb her slumber. We all hung out there until she was ready to return to the shelter.
We are hoping that she may be able to return another day for another K9 massage.

Mr D has his learn 2 swim today. This was his second session. He loves the water and he does go in up to his belly, but doesn't quite have the confidence to go in all the way to swim. So by having a learn 2 swim we are hoping it will build his confidence in the water. He did very well today, such a good boy. We will hopefully have some more photos and videos to come. Loved his treats and a warm shower and a wee massage

Miss M's favourite day of the week. POOL DAY. After a nice walk she had so much fun at the pool. She is so confident in the water now. She gets excited when we arrive and is keen to get to the pool. She knows her command to start at 'Step' in one side and out the other. Clever girl and a fast learner.
