The African Kings and Queens are all doing well, eating & sleeping is what their day looks like at the moment.
On our daily weight graphs they are all doing what they are meant to.
Myah is such a beautiful mother, tending to their every need. Her milk supply is really coming in now so the bar is officially open!

There are real beauties here, some still available to the right homes.

After a restless evening on Thursday, Myah began her second stage of labour Friday afternoon. Her first born, a correct wee girl came at 2.17pm. Her labour progressed nicely and after almost 10 hours she gave birth to her last puppy also a correct girl.

She surprised us with how many she was hiding...Myah has 11 beautiful babies.
4 Kings and 7 Queens.
2 correct boys, 5 correct girls.
Others have extra crowns, but all are ridged.

No DS detected so far, no excess white or kinks.

Myah is a lovely mother, she has been out for a quick walk in the orchard this morning and is bright & happy in herself.
Now, we are all in recovery mode as we watch over these beautiful babies 💗

Heavily pregnant Myah seen here chilling on the couch with bff Zaz man after puppy visitors this morning. All the attention and the heat today has taken it out of her 🩷 ☀️

In November I started to show my beautiful girl Lola in the Neuter class.

She is now crowned a Neuter Champion 🏆 after gaining her 8 Challenges.
She did it in style accumulating

So is well on her way to her Neuter Grand Champion title ❤️

I was super proud of both T & Kali the Nationals week 2024!
Anyone that really knows T would know how much being in the spotlight is not his thing. I was blown away that week, something just clicked with him & Kali.

I'm still bewildered as to why this did not go through.

We at Koruridge Rhodesian Ridgebacks & Siberian Huskies voted 💯 YES to minimum health standards for our beloved breed.

If you are thinking about getting a Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy, make sure that the breeder is one that is committed to the health and welfare of our beloved breed.

A recalcitrant group of Rhodesian Ridgeback breeders has blocked the introduction of minimum health tests for our breed in New Zealand.

Together with a group of like-minded breeders Sandridge Rhodesian Ridgebacks helped with a proposal to establish basic health tests for all registered RR litters in New Zealand. But not everyone who is involved with the breed is committed to protecting the health and welfare of our dogs.

This message has just been received from the Chair of the Canine Health & Welfare Committee at Dogs NZ:

Dear Rhodesian Ridgeback Breeders Group

Apologies for the oversight in not providing the outcome of your LRL proposal after the results were ratified at the July 27 Executive Council Meeting

Please find attached the outcome of the voting for the proposed Rhodesian Ridgeback LRL

Based on these results there will be no LRL for the Rhodesian Ridgeback breed at this stage.

Please note the Canine Health and Welfare Committee operates with strict “conflict of interest” protocols in place and no member who is affiliated with your breed was involved with the compilation and analysis of these results.
Several points that are worthy of note:

- At its meeting (27 July 2024) the Dogs NZ Executive Council was extremely disappointed that owners/ breeders of your breed failed to recognise the importance of health testing to provide assurance to purchasers of Dogs NZ registered pups that the parents have had a minimum level of health testing completed
