The logistics of getting poundies out from up north goes a bit like this:
The amazing Kellie runs adoptions with her heart and soul trying to save as many rehomeable dogs and puppies that she can. She puts the call out to us to see if we have any space, we ring around, we beg, we plead and if we have no luck we reach out to Victoria Hoskin from Central Otago & Queenstown Animal Welfare Networkers to see if they have space who does the same as us, searching for those wonderful but scarce fosters. If Victoria can take them, we then have to source flights, adding them as luggage is the cheapest option and the most less stressful on dogs. Once a flight is booked we have to find them transport to Auckland, we try to do it on the day they are flying as we don't have many places for them to stay overnight or multiple days. Sometimes we just have to take what we can get and the Jonty van ends up with a few comfy crates for the night. Then it's off to the airport (which in itself is a mission) to meet the person flying them as luggage to get them all checked in and off they go. This scenario is repeated at Victoria's end, so it can sometimes be a total logistical nightmare but so worth it when we see happy ever afters. If we have flights and no transport the stress is huge and there are many late night early morning conversations wondering how we are going to make it work. We also have to make sure we have suitable air pet carriers which are like gold. Throw into the mix we all work as well as have families, so when you see us beg and plead asking for help with transport, please please share to help ease the load and save another dog's life, much love as always Tania and Sarah xx
Brandy and Pickles who are mum and daughter 8 and 6 safely made it to Dunedin and will be staying together, the absolute sweetest girls deserve the world.
Hungry little puppies, little Jonty is struggling so she also gets her own meal separately. She hates being away from her siblings but they steal her jumper so she’s spending time snuggled up on a heat pad.
We are sorted 😊“Flying Auckland to Wellington with Air NZ?? Please, please someone, help a dude out!! Can I fly with you? Any day, any time, ASAP, Paws restart do everything. I need to get to my new home, love Cooper xx” (I get to Auckland today around 4pm)

Leash training is going well!! 😂😂😂
Hey everyone, we have moved onto some land so that we are better equipped with our rescues. We are on the lookout for a cheap ride on mower if anyone has one gathering dust in their shed?? Will have to send out search parties for puppies in the grass soon, thanks as always Tania and Sarah (and Molly who is up for adoption) Kumeū, Auckland.
Please keep everything crossed for Mitch and Molly. They are so small to be fighting such a hard battle, weighing in at 1.6kg and 1.4kg around 4 weeks old. If anyone hears of any other puppies given away at a Stoddard Rd bus stop in Mt Roskill yesterday please let us know as they will need urgent medical care, thanks Tania and Sarah xx (sound on, please watch video)

Introducing litte Smudgee our new foster boy
First impressions - one of the most switched on smartest little ones we've had. Sleeps in his crate all night - goes toilet outside 95% of the time and is doing so well within the few days we've had him getting used to the smells and sounds of farm animals around him.
He's going to be an absolute gem of a furbaby for one lucky family that's for sure ❤️
